We've always wanted hotelier Jeff Klein to open more hotels. After all, his Sunset Tower Hotel is one of the best hotels in LA, loved by celebs like Jennifer Aniston. Not to mention, with his City Club Hotel in New York City, he was a firm believer in offering free Wifi to his guests at a time when most hotels were still sending folks down to the business center to get online. But we're not quite sure about his latest acquisition.

Curbed LA reports that Klein has recently purchased a "a clothing-optional gay motel" in West Hollywood that's more known for being a drug haven. Eeek. The place is also adjacent, ironically, to a rehab facility called Klean. (Yes, that is correct.) But while Klein plans to keep the clothing optional aspect of the inn, he has now enforced a "zero tolerance" drug policy. Thank god.

However, he still has his work cut out for him. Check out this recent review of the inn on TripAdvisor reviews:

Zac Efron Mistakes His Hotel Balcony For Someplace Paparazzi Won't Actually Find Him

Zac Efron has done a lot of growing up since playing 'Troy' on the hit Disney trilogy High School Musical. These days, he's busy being a bona fide movie star, jetting around the world, condoms exploding out of his pocket, and frolicking around on hotel balconies in his undies.

The 24-year-old actor was photographed half-naked making some pretty suggestive poses on his balcony at the Park Hyatt Sydney, with no apparent knowledge that the paps were waiting below. Which is slightly ridiculous, given the fact that he was on a balcony. According to the website that posted the photos, his suite was facing out to Sydney Harbour, so technically he might have had reason to believe he was in the clear.

Or maybe, he just really wanted to show off how well he can carry a room service tray without spilling anything.

...And Fashion Week Is Still Happening

It's the home stretch of New York's most indulgent time of year, Fashion Week, and we were itching to see some of the action happening inside hotels. Luckily, our patience was rewarded with this video taken at the Soho Grand, of luxury lingerie brand Agent Provocateur debuting their Kinky Couture line. Picturing lots of pretty long-haired girls strutting up and down a carpeted room in their skivvies? That about sums it up.

In the video, you can see expressionless fashion editors scribbling furiously in their notebooks as models show off the hand-studded, Swarovski-encrusted duds—which didn't do a great job of concealing much (but that's the point). All we can say is good thing there weren't any handbags involved.

Kathy Griffin, What Are You Doing?

September 12, 2011 at 9:35 AM | by | Comment (1)

So, it was Friday afternoon. Another week of hotel news was over. We'd seen Facebook hotel rivalries, nationwide Hyatt strikes, and killer views in Vegas. But as we sat browsing our Twitter feed, what we weren't prepared for was this killer view, taken in a New York hotel room, of Kathy Griffin showing off her bangin' bod to a window washer.

Tweeted by @kathygriffin at around 6pm EST, the photo quickly went viral on the internet, even prompting a story by NY Daily News (headline: Kathy Griffin Parades Around In Sexy Bra And Underwear For Window). Guess Fashion Week doesn't have the same effect on everyone.

Which Hotel Wouldn't Let Heidi Klum Go Topless?

September 6, 2011 at 9:40 AM | by | Comment (1)

Maybe it's the long weekend talking, but we think everyone just needs to chill out over the whole Heidi Klum topless sunbathing incident. In case you haven't heard, the 5' 9" TV host and former model admitted to Jay Leno on Thursday night that she was almost kicked out of a Phoenix hotel for ignoring a security staff member's request for her to cover up.

"I'm surprised you have a photo of me wearing a [bikini] top. I don't really like to wear tops because I hate tan lines." She makes a valid point, but then again, she's one of the world's highest-paid models. We're guessing if everyone had bodies like hers, we'd be seeing more topless action in hotel pools. A lot more.
