It's a step and repeat of sorts for The Mark Hotel. Once again, the luxury Upper East Side hotel served as the departure point for several glamorous celebrities heading out to the annual Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday night. Leading the stylish pack was, as usual Anna Wintour, who was joined by hotelier André Balazs, designer Michael Kors, actors Emily Blunt, Kate Hudson, and Adrien Brody, rapper Common, and a slew of models from Jourdan Dunn to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Kendall Jenner.
Here are just a few shots of the fashion elite exiting the hotel.

She's so fancy, but you already know...
After last year's
disastrous cutting edge punk party, the Costume Institute Met Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, co-chaired by Vogue's Anna Wintour, took on a more refined air this year with the "White Tie and Decorations" theme. Celebs and models alike came to the event dressed in the best of the best couture but probably left a little lighter in the pockets as tickets start at $25,000.
Before hitting the red carpet, the pretty faces and bold names strutted their stuff outside The Mark Hotel, the traditional pre-Met Gala party spot. Here's a look at what Anna, Posh and Becks, Bradley Cooper (another co-chair!) and our girl crush Lupita Nyong'o were wearing last night.
Bradley Cooper goes literal with the "White tie" theme.
Posh and Becks keep it, well, Posh and Becks style.
We heart everything about this picture. She can do no wrong.
While the tickets to the Met are out of your price range, the rooms at The Mark are "only" $695 a night for a superior queen room.

Designer Joseph Altuzarra enjoys the view from his suite
While Anna Wintour was getting floral-fied at The Mark pre-Met Gala last night, hundreds of designers, celebrities and bold names were donning their duds in other hotel suites around the city.
For example, the Mandarin Oriental was quite the hotspot for the ritual of "getting ready," a day-long process which involves makeup artists, final wardrobe adjustments, PR strategizing and, finally, the departure by limo or towncar for the walk up the Metropolitan Museum of Art's red carpet staircase.
Spotted getting ready at the Mandarin Oriental were designer Joseph Altuzarra and his date, Girls actress Allison Williams (whose dress was later named among the Top 10 Most Daring); the Rodarte sisters dressing the Fanning sisters; Emma Watson; Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery; and even "Gangnam Style" singer Psy, spotted cavorting with his entourage in the lobby lounge.
Tonight's the night for New York Metropolitan Museum's star-studded, Met Ball. This year's theme is "Punk: Chaos to Couture".
An A-list crowd will be dressed in their finest frocks and suits and descend up the red carpet of the museum's steps to enter what can only be described as the fashion party of the year.
One such bold name will be Vogue's own editrix, Anna Wintour, seen departing from The Mark in a pink floral custom-made Chanel number and sporting her trademark bob.
If you want to a live stream of all the couture wear and stars (Katie Holmes is wearing Calvin Klein), just go to Vogue's website. It'll also be simultaneously streamed on the websites of Moda Operandi, Samsung, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
