Shop Til You Drop At These 7 Mall Hotels Around the World

April 24, 2013 at 10:26 AM | by | Comment (1)

Last month, the 500-room Radisson Blu Mall of America became the second Radisson Blu to open in the US (after Radisson Blu Aqua Chicago). But one thing that sets this place apart from Chicago (and all other subsequent Rad Blus) is that it directly connects to the Mall of America, with its 530 shops, 5 major department stores, multiple food courts, indoor theme park, and 14-screen movie theater. If they want, hotel guests can even arrange for a personal shopper and bag pick-up to maximize the experience. Rates from $174/night.

Conrad Will Live Happily Ever After At the Mall of Asia

March 11, 2013 at 9:18 AM | by | Comments (0)

It's no surprise that the upcoming Conrad Manila will share intimate relations with its neighbor, the sprawling Mall of Asia complex. Why? The manager of the upcoming hotel, which is set to open in 2015, is a company called SM Group. And as Wikipedia so eloquently points out, the Mall of Asia "is a shopping mall owned and developed by SM, the largest mall chain owner and developer in the Philippines."

So, yeah. Conrad's first property in the Philippines will be pretty much just a place for Hilton HHonors members to spend lots and lots o' dollars at the fourth largest shopping mall in the world, which gets a reported 200,00 visitors per day.

We're guessing Hilton is pretty stoked to get a piece of that pie. And after all, mall hotels can be kind of exciting (Minnesota's new Radisson Blu would likely agree). So...what else can we expect from Conrad Manila when it opens?

Radisson Blu, is Like, Going to the Mall, For Sure

September 23, 2010 at 11:54 AM | by | Comments (0)

Last month, there were rumblings that Radisson Blu would be opening in the Mall of America in Minnesota and now it's been confirmed--Radission Blu Mall of America will open in late 2012. The Star-Tribune reports:

The $115 million, 501-room hotel will anchor the south side of the Bloomington mall, between Macy's and Bloomingdale's, and will be the first to be connected to the mall via skyway.

Don't think you can wait until 2012 to experience a Radisson Blu and its free WiFi? The brand's first U.S. hotel will actually open in Chicago in fall of 2011.

Now, we're super excited for Radission Blu, a rather savvy European hotel brand, to continue its expansion into America. We just hope they consider other places than the Midwest.
