Miami Hotels Will Celebrate Sleepless Night This Weekend

Now that Halloween is here at last, it's time for hotels to look ahead to the next marketing gimmick. In South Beach, there's not long to wait, with the Sleepless Night festival taking place this weekend, November 5–6.
While most travelers choose a hotel for its sleep-worthiness, this is Miami, where such things are frivolous. Being part of the action is a priority, so hotels like Catalina Hotel & Beach Club and Lords South Beach are getting on the Sleepless fun.
The beach is expecting more than 150 local and international artists to perform across Saturday night -- featuring trapeze artists, symphonies, theater and dance groups, music concerts, architectural tours and art exhibitions.

Lords South Beach Wants Guests To Play Games With The Neighbors
Who are these people and why are they having more fun than you? Well, first of all, they're in Miami, where frivolity is for all--young, old, gay, straight. Also, they're playing Twister. Duh.
But don't feel left out! You too can get in on this latest example of Hotel Fun, by heading to Lords South Beach tomorrow night at 8. That's when the gay-friendly/hetero-friendly hotel's new Game Lords night kicks off.

What Does The Lobby Of An 'Ultra-Gay Hotel' Look Like?
Ever since it opened last month, Lords South Beach has been getting a fair bit of big-name press, from the New York Times to this new piece in Time. Most of it, though, zeroes in on the hotel's positioning as a gay hotel. Or, as Time puts it, 'Not just gay-friendly' but 'ultra gay.'
