Can you believe it? Lindsay Lohan is turning 22! We seriously thought she was like 35 already.
Girlfriend not only looks a little worse for the wear in person she has also had more stuff happen in her young life than most peeps have in a lifetime. Super teen stardom, followed by three stints in rehab, DUIs, money woes, etc.
Nevertheless, the party must go on and diligent celebrity party sniffer-outer Perez Hilton says Lohan is throwing a bash at the Hollywood Roosevelt tonight inside the VIP bar, Teddy's. Lohan has been known to party it up in here several times before.
Wanna crash Lohan's party? The easiest way to do it is to get a room. And you're totally in luck. Rooms tonight are going for $199 on the hotel's website. That's for a superior queen-bed room in the tower. The poolside cabanas cost a little more at $369.
Tell Lindsay we said happy birthday and don't drink the water bottles! You don't know what's in there.
The Beverly Hills Hotel has a little coffee shop on its basement level just past the gift shop and the salon and it is truly one of our favorite places in Los Angeles.
There are only counter seats and only about 20 seats at that. The shop serves up all your favorite diner fare, although the hotel prefers to call it "informal" menus.
We rolled up there Saturday afternoon and were enjoying our tuna melt and classic coke when Lindsay Lohan and an assistant walked in. The duo took two seats at the end of the counter and the coffee shop quieted as peeps tried hard to look like they were not staring at her.
We're not sure what the hotel staff thought when Lindsay stepped into the Pink Palace, after all they are still recovering from Britney's breakdowns there.
So says Star magazine. The tabloid reports in its newest issue that serial rehabber Lindsay Lohan is now banned from the Shutters on the Beach Hotel in Santa Monica after she spent three days in their holed up with her now ex-boyfriend Riley Giles. The terrible twosome reportedly spent their time depleting the mini-bar and leaving dirty towels and cigarette butts strewn about their suite (room 645.)
The mag also says:
"Staffers went into clean and were shocked," says the source. "It was a pigpen. There was filth everywhere and the room stank of cigarette smoke.
"There was also a bloody syringe that someone left lying on the bedside tabl on a room service tray. Hotel security photographed it before calling someone to remove it because it was considered hazardous waste."
Yuck. The hotel also had to call in a professional cleaning crew to clean up the mess that Lohan made. The last word in all of this is that Shutters has blacklisted her. And thank god they did. We like this place and wouldn't want it to go the way of the Mondrian West Hollywood, another place where La Lohan had a hotel meltdown.
It seems as if it's a prerequisite for young stars these days to have meltdowns at luxury hotels. And the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles has been the victim of at least three. First there was Britney Spears. Then there was Jesse Metcalf. And now we have Lindsay Lohan.
Just before she crashed into shrubbery and fled the scene of the accident (leaving Beverly Hills police to track her down at a Century City hospital and subsequently finding cocaine in her car), Lohan was begging the Mondrian Hotel to give her a room. The NY Post reports:
"The staff told her they were fully booked for the night, but she was kicking up a real fuss - and said she would pay any price for a suite," the source said. "They told her they were full over and over again, so she asked them to try and book her a room at another hotel before running into the bathroom and leaving."
Well we can totally guess what she did in the bathroom right before leaving. But this kind of shit can't stop Blowhan. The girl was spotted the next night at Teddy's at the Hollywood Roosevelt, where she has already been caught on tape doing blow in that bathroom. These recent events coupled with her meltdown at the Soho Grand put Lindsay Lohan as the front runner for HotelChatter's Best Celebrity Performance Award. Britney Spears better shave her head again if she wants to win this award for 2007.
Lindsay Lohan did her best to give The Soho Grand Hotel some unnecessary free press this week.
According to the gossip rags, Wednesday night, she checked into the hotel with some guy after hearing ex-boyfriend Calum Best was staying there with another woman.
She tried calling his room, and when he didn't answer, went out partying, says a source who will be quoted in this week's Star. Lohan came back around 1:30 a.m. and collapsed in the lobby. The source added:
She was writhing on the floor and everyone could see that she wasn't wearing any panties.
The hotel night manager, after her date and bodyguard stood back in shock/horror, had to carry her to her room. There, she proceeded to call her ex's room, bang on his door, and generally carry on.
Finally, said manager asked her to leave. The star checked out at 5:30 a.m. Maybe if she had just chilled out and done a few lines with a certain 'brown-shirted druggie', she could've avoided this public meltdown of the week.
We think she was probably just pissed about the poor WiFi connection. Had the hotel invested in some higher bandwidth, she probably would've sat in her room, quietly watching the Lost season finale.
Over the weekend, The Cove at Atlantis held its opening celebration and invited tons of celebrities to come down to the Bahamas to party including Lindsay Lohan, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minillio, Janet Jackson (who later performed), Magic Johnson, Cindy Crawford, Ashanti, Usher and Tyra Banks.
The hotel even held a huge 70s party (which is so mid-1990s by the way) in the Atlantis Ballroom to celebrate this third phase of the Atlantis resort's billion-dollar expansion.
Celebrities and VIP guests were treated to performances of hit 70s performers, including Steven Tyler from Aerosmith; popular band Earth, Wind and Fire and The Village People who brought the 2,000 guests to life singing their hit `YMCA.'
To bring the disco era to Atlantis, the 50,000 square-foot ballroom was draped in over 8,000 yards of fabric - the kind used in the 70s.
The resort also allowed its guests to become a part of the 70s as a makeover bar was available from which guests were able to collect afro wigs and long eyelashes.
Celebs also hung out at nightclub Cain where Lindsay Lohan tried to work the DJ booth.
The 600-all suite hotel Cove, has been open since March 28 but we're guessing this celeb-heavy opening weekend will boost occupancy rates going into the summer, typically the off-season.
And while this is supposed to be the adults-only section of the massive Atlantis resort, Lohan found time in between partying, tanning and making out with model Callum Best to take a picture with a child on the beach.
Being the West Coast Eloise apparently is not cheap.
There have been some some reports that Lindsay Lohan has racked up a $500,000 hotel bill at the Chateau Marmont Hotel from living there while her house gets constructed.
And that half a mil doesn't account fcr all the Cristal Lindsay supposedly likes to drink, the hotel's personal chauffeur services, and meals and drinks for her friends.
Although this is a particularly good story about celeb excess, what's really funny is who is pissed at Lindsay for this wild spending. And it's not her mom.
Another source revealed: "Her accountants were disgusted because she didn't realise she'd racked up such a huge bill."
But Andre Balazs should at least name a suite after her now.
Vanity Fair's recent cover story on Lindsay Lohan made headlines because Lohan admitted that she had done drugs and had suffered from bulimia--both of which she later tried to deny. But also within the story, we learn that Lohan is living at the Chateau Marmont while her new place is being renovated.
Having lived at the [hotel] for months, she is now the staff's very own Eloise, careening in and out of the kitchen, taking five pieces of cake up to her suite's microwave, grandly reserving several orders of curried chicken each Thursday because you never know who he is going to drop by and having conversations with total randoms...."It's like a house, it's so weird. I'm like, 'This is my den.' Like, three people were lying on the second floor and walking up to my staircase." She catches herself and lets out a goofy laugh, "My Staircase!"
Like we wonder if she's ever run into Adam Levine, lead singer of Maroon 5 who according to the mag, also lives at the hotel and is cruising the lobby for ladies, most recently Jessica Simpson. US Weekly reports:
Maroon 5's Adam Levine made his move, abandoning the couch [in the hotel lobby] where he sat and sliding into a seat beside [Jessica]. "He didn't look at anyone else," says an eyewitness.
That's totally what happens in our dens at home too you know? Like for real.
