New York Shaving Company Now Open at Le Parker Meridien

Our personal-image-savvy friends over at Racked NY have announced the arrival of a new face onto the swanky hotel barbershop scene: Le Parker Meridien.

New York Shaving Company has put its second outpost in the lobby of the midtown hotel, offering men's services and upscale shaving gear to purchase. From Racked:

Standard hip men's salon perk: The barber chair is from the early 1900s. Less standard perk: They're offering lockers where you can store your shaving accoutrements.

Oooh, sexy. You can get a shave in the space between your hotel room and your front door starting at $30 (for a Standard Shave) — but we're not sure how NYSC compares to the similarly-swanky Rudy's Barbershop outposts inside the Standard LA and the Ace Hotel Manhattan. Except you may be needing your clean-shaven mug for something a little different at Le Parker Meridien: you're gonna want your face to be nice and smooth to make way for the grease from your Burger Joint burger to slide down your chin.

Can We Try Again?: After the Leading Hotels of the World's $19.28 room promotion ended in a total technical collapse this morning, they've issued a statement about the debacle and have emailed everyone who had registered for the promo. Turns out, everyone who tried to score a room this morning will get a second chance to participate -- and it will happen via email this time. [MW]

· Whitney Port at the W Times Square: Whitney Port -- the other blonde chick from The Hills who is neither LC nor Heidi -- is in NYC and is staying at the W Times Square. We'd go stalk her if she did something scandalous. Which she will never do. [Gawker]

· Mayfair Coconut Grove Gets Rooftop Bar: The Mayfair Hotel and Spa in Coconut Grove, FL is getting a bit of a revival with a swanky new rooftop bar, opening tomorrow. Watch out, Gans South. Someone's poised for a comeback. [MW]

· Le Parker Meridien Introduces the Knave: Le Parker Meridien is opening up a brand new coffee/wine/sandwich spot with super fancypants coffee. Get this: no to-go cups, no drip coffee, no oversized drinks, and no cappuccinos served after noon. [Eater]
