Which Hotel is Best For Chicago's Jazz Fest: The Hilton or Hotel Allegro?
Where: Hilton Chicago: 720 S. Michigan Ave., Hotel Allegro: 171 W. Randolph St. [map], Chicago, IL, United States, 60605, 606

The Hilton Chicago
If you're bopping your head in anticipation of seeing Muhal Richard Abram at the Chicago Jazz Fest, you can riff on the experience with special packages at Hotel Allegro and the Hilton Chicago from Sept. 4 to 6. Both "Chicago Jazz Festival" packages offer the same perks: two VIP seating passes (the fest is free, but it's usually bring-your-own-blanket) for all three days of the event, two commemorative T-shirts and three nights at the respective hotel. Thing is, the hotels vary in price and amenities. Here's how they stack up against each other:

Guessing the Hotels for Hotwire's Jazz Fest Deals

Jazz Fest begins next weekend (April 25-27) in New Orleans and HotWire just announced some more hotel deals in case you still need a place to spend the night or two or three.
Remember HotWire is a blind booking site so it's really for those you want a deal rather than say gain some loyalty program points (although depending on which hotel you get, that might work out for you.)
Some deals for the first Jazz Fest weekend:
· 4.5-star hotel in Downtown New Orleans for $183 per room per night
· 4-star hotel in Downtown New Orleans for $129 per room per night
· 3-star hotel in French Quarter for $159 per room per night
· 3-star hotel in New Orleans Intl Airport MSY for $73 per room per night
We did some research on Betterbidding.com to see what hotels these deals might be at. The 4.5-star was tricky but a lot of people on the board think it's the Le Pavillion Hotel. For the 4-star in Downtown, we're gonna guess the Intercontinental.
The 3-star hotel in the French Quarter could be the Holiday Inn and the 3-star near the airport is probably the Radisson.

Jazz Fest in New Orleans Starts April 25th

The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival is running this year from April 25-May 4 and featuring some top artists like Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Jimmy Buffett, Tim McGraw, Santana, The Neville Brothers, Sheryl Crow, Widespread Panic, Diana Krall, Keyshia Cole, Robert Plant, Alison Krauss and actually "thousands" more.
Granted, there's practically a whole week of musicians to see so getting a hotel room is not as competitive as say, the Super Bowl. But the earlier you book, the better deal you will get. Here are some more links to help you out with Jazz Fest planning:
· Musical Line-Up: Who's playing when and where.
· Sheraton New Orleans: The official host hotel of Jazz Fest found on Canal Street But more hotel deals can be found here.
· Expedia: The booking site has launched some hotel deals section for Jazz fest. Book by April 8 (tomorrow) to score bigger savings.
· Jaunted Asks, "Who's a Jazz Artist?": So did you read those names above and wonder why they were playing at Jazzfest? Yeah, Jaunted thought the same thing.
· Renaissance Pere Marquette: This hotel has gotten a $5 million renovation including a new restaurant MiLa which is the "marriage" of the chefs home state cuisines - Mississippi and Louisiana. The hotel has also revamped their lobby to include scents, jazz music, set lighting and decorative accessories so as to spice up your arrival.
