St. Regis and Jason Wu's New Luggage Line Woo Stylish Guests

It seems like it would go hand-in-hand; a hotel designs its own line of luggage to keep their guests looking flash every step of the way before they head to reception and collect their room keys. Well, St. Regis Hotels has done just that with a little fashion help from their favorite go-to designer, Jason Wu.

This is a first for the Taiwanese-born fashionista and also for Starwood's premium hotel brand. The bag is both sophisticated and timeless while maintaining Wu's fashion-forward design. The trim will feature both the designer's label and hotel's logo embossed in black leather. The cost for this tastemaker's tote? $1,995.

The bag, along with an entire e-store of gift ideas for road warriors, will be available early December. Seems like a coincidence, but this could make holiday shopping a lot easier this year.

Jason Wu Brings His Dolls To Play At The St. Regis

Back in the fall of 2009, designer Jason Wu showed his Spring/Summer collection at the St. Regis New York, and on each chair, he placed a box of macaroons that had been made downstairs at Alain Ducasse's restaurant Adour. A few weeks later, Wu picked the hotel to celebrate his twenty-seventh birthday. Clearly, there's some chemistry here. Now, the St. Regis has returned the favor by naming him the brand's second ever Connoisseur—a privilege which, despite the vague job description ("provide a modern fashion perspective"), is actually a pretty sweet gig. And the whole practice of hotels partnering with big names in fashion, music, and polo, is sort of becoming a thing these days. Whatever it takes to stay relevant!
