We told you yesterday about the yummy Red Velvet Cupcake cocktails at the Shorebreak Hotel. If you have one too many of them and decide to stay at the Huntington Beach hotel, we have the lowdown on the rooms.

We shelled out $219 for a room in the sleepy beach community, which is nicknamed Surf City for the many surfers who crowd the waters looking for the perfect wave. During our visit, there was even a surf competition going on. The Shorebreak takes its cues from the surfer community. Check out more about the hotel after the jump.

At the Shorebreak Hotel, You Drink a Red Velvet Cupcake

We hung out in the sunny patio of the Shorebreak Hotel's Zimzala Restaurant & Bar on the search for something sweet to drink. When we spotted the Red Velvet Cupcake cocktail, we knew that would sate our sweet tooth.

We expected a sugary-sweet libation with maybe some frosting on the rim of the glass. You know, like a yummy red velvet cupcake. However, we got a fruity $12 concoction that still hit the spot.

High-Maintenance Bitches to Hit the Runway at Huntington Beach's Shorebreak

Don't be surprised to see a bunch of bitches hanging around Huntington Beach's Shorebreak Hotel next week. The cute bitches will fill the hotel courtyard for a doggie fashion show.

The September 17 event will feature the adoptable pets from the Orange County Humane Society strutting down the catwalk and modeling duds from Seattle boutique High Maintenance Bitch. The boutique carries doggie couture like brightly hued tutus, cherry-patterned raincoats, plush hoodies and novelty tees with slogans like "I heart Humping."

We’ve been telling you about Joie De Vivre’s Shorebreak Hotel in Huntington Beach for a while, but now we’ve actually had a chance to step inside one of the Waterfront King rooms (which start at $210 per night) and take you on a video walkthrough.

We’ll only give you a few spoilers right now and detail the rest for you next week but this hotel has killer views, enormous bathrooms and delicious mini-bar treats.

A Holiday Hotel Story to Warm Your Heart

When our friend told us this story, we just knew we had to share, because it's stuff like this that takes the chill out of a cold, cold day.

One night, while on business in Huntington Beach, CA, our friend* proceeded to get absolutely wasted, lose her wallet and arrive at her hotel a sobbing, disoriented mess.

It was in this state that the front desk of the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa came to her rescue, calling every bar she had been to that night in search of her wallet, even calling the airline to see how she could board the plane for her flight home sans ID. (The wallet eventually showed up, fully intact, courtesy of that night's cab driver—more warm and fuzzy feelings!)
