Last week, we mentioned the re-flag/conversion of the House of Blues Chicago. We've managed to dig up a bit more about what to expect: It might not be an HOB, but more than the hotel's name has to do with tunes.
The Celebrity Rider package especially caught our eye...ear:
The package is based off various celebrities contract riders and guests can choose their favorite celebrity and have their hotel rooms decked out like their favorite stars.
Now all you have to do is trash the room like your favorite star--or at least pretend to.

Looks like the House of Blues Chicago won't be around much longer--at least under that name. We gave the HOB a call recently to find out how work was progressing on the newly named Hotel Sax. Sounds like the rooms are finished, though there's still plenty of back-of-house stuff to wrap up. "But nothing that would affect guests," a hotel worker bee told us.
Of course not. When we first heard about this in February, we wouldn't have expected things to be finished so quickly. But if the changes truly are finito, that means the hotel's nightclub Crimson Lounge should open soon. And, would you look at that, the place is even hoping to hire some folks to take care of the:
intentive [sic] cocktails...high profile bottle service... sophisticated upscale clientele...
We'll be momentarily withholding judgment until you let us know how cheesy Crimson Lounge is.
