Five Non-Fugly Hotel Carpets We Don't Mind Looking At

You know how pissy we get about fugly hotel carpets but this time around, we decided to look at the positive side of things. We've put together a gallery of Five Non-Fugly Hotel Carpeting where the design beneath your feet looks just as sweet as the rest of the room.
What's interesting to note, however, is that these hotels on this esteemed list are all new hotels (well, we count The Surrey, above, as new because it got a top to bottom makeover.) The oldest photo we have is from the W South Beach which just opened in July.
Hopefully, more and more new hotels will start to do away with their crazy carpeting patterns. And the hotels that are thinking of doing a refurbishment on their rooms, then consider these non-fugly designs.

Sit, Soak and Stare: Hotel Bathtubs with Killer Views

The stress of the holidays is already getting to us and we haven't even left yet. But we're already dreading the traveling (have you seen the gross things people do on planes?), crazy family members, the in-laws, the overeating, the Black Friday crowds and the possibility that the creepy "Drummer Boy" song will be playing every time we walk into a Starbucks from now through December 26th.
We want to get away and go where nobody knows our name. We want to go to hole up in a hotel room and take a relaxing bath and enjoy the view. Yup we're making our list of Hotel Bathtubs with Killer Views and we're checking it twice, thrice and as often as we need to during this holiday season. And you should too.
Got your own suggestion for a hotel bathtub with a killer view? Send it to us and we'll add it to the collection.

'Do Not Disturb' The Counting of The Sheep at The Hotel Oceana

So we continue to geek out about Do Not Disturb signs (as well as in-room coffee makers) and today we thought we'd show you this cute little DND sign from The Hotel Oceana in Santa Monica. No, it's not real lambswool but it is soft to touch. So you can totally forgive us for swiping this from the hotel, can't you?
