HotelChatter Contest: Who Is Going To Nashville, With a Tan?

HotelChatter's Win a Trip to Nashville contest ended last last week and since then our panel of judges has been busy grading entries. Today we are happy to report that we have a winner. Twenty-nine year-old Mike Nielsen of Los Angeles, Calif. and a guest of his choosing will be jetting off to Nashville courtesy of Southwest Airlines and staying at the The Hotel Preston for two nights. Here is Mike's winning entry:
I think, especially if you're staying in Nashville, that a fun, simple room amenity would be an:
ACOUSTIC GUITAR
That would be so much fun! It seems to make sense, and would be very original and entertaining for guests!
Killer idea Mike. We are now working with Hotel Preston to figure out the best, most practical way for the hotel to execute this idea in one form or another. Stay tuned.
In the meantime, Mike and guest are off to Nashville. Huge thanks to Southwest and The Hotel Preston for helping us pull off this contest. And of course, thanks to all of you who entered your dream amenity suggestions. May hotels and hoteliers soon make your amenity dreams come true!

We've Picked a Hotel in Paris!

Thanks to all the commenters who dropped in their suggestions for Paris. In the end there was a three-way tie between the The Petit Moulin, Plaza Athenee and the write-in suggestion from PatrickSW, The Four Seasons George V.
So, here is how we operated the tie-breaker. The George V was about $1,200 a night. Last time we checked, our bank account barely held that much money in it and a large portion of it was already ear-marked for our expensive shoe habit.
But speaking of shoes, the Plaza Athenee offers a chocolate shoe if you book the Sex and The City package. Yay! However, our chocolate rush was over before it began as the Plaza Athenee has room rates topping out at $900 a night. There's just no way we could get that budget approved from our bosses. Believe us, we tried.

Right now, it looks like a tie between The Hotel Petit Moulin and the Plaza Athenee, the latter which we are sure is making our boss's wallet tremble. We have some great "Write-in-your-own" suggestions too so don't forget that is another option to "vote" for. Once we decide and book the hotel, we'll let you know on Friday.
Read through the hotel choices after the jump.

Pick a Hotel in Paris for HotelChatter

So we're headed off to the City of Light in a week and while we are fortunate to have an apartment of a family friend to crash at for most of our stay, we still want to check in on the Parisian Hotel Scene.
We've covered Paris extensively, thanks in part to Parisian correspondent Monica Guy, and going back through our stories, there are so many places that we want to stay at. And we're finding it difficult to make a decision. That's why we decided to leave it up to you. Yes, you! You should tell us where to stay.
Keep reading to find out more.
