It all started with the cabana blowout at the W South Beach. Now, the waiting list for Miami Heat season tickets is jammed and every business in town is King-ing up their product in order to cash in on the city's newest resident, LeBron James.
Hotels are—of course—chief among them. Here are Five Heat-Crazy Hotel Packages and Promos For People Who Love LeBron.
U.K. budget hotel brand St. Giles only added former W Hotels The Tuscany and The Court to its collection last month, but it wants to celebrate its new properties by giving you a free night in one of them.
If you book a four-night stay at either hotel from June 6 to September 6, you'll get the fourth night for free. So you'll have three full months to take advantage of the buy-four-get-one-free deal—we'll definitely celebrate that. A room at The Court costs around $259, while The Tuscany charges about $269 for a room, so the free night would be a nice savings.
For those of you who travel diva-style like the always dolled-up Lady Gaga, you probably expect glam service at your hotel that's worthy of a princess like you. Personality Hotels wants to cater to you with its JETset for the METset package.
Okay, so you won't get Gaga's famous Alexander McQueen 10-inch "Armadillo" stilettos as part of the deal. But you'll get your choice of San Francisco hotels: the Hotel Diva, Hotel Union Square or Kensington Park Hotel.

As a collection of boutique properties, Desires Hotels likes to promote what makes one property distinctive from any other. They also think their guests are all special, unique snowflakes, and want to reward them with a discount and the chance to win 12 nights in their hotels—a three-night stay (with airfare) in a Desires property in Miami, Milwaukee, St. Louis and New York City.
That's the grand prize in the live.stay.be.unique contest, but there's also a prize for second and third place (two three-night stays and one three-night stay, respectively) and a 20% discount on your next Desires Hotel stay just for entering.
You could be at the pool at Marley Resort & Spa right now for free.
It's Friday, and you know what that means. You're itching to start your weekend already, but time seems to barely move. Some Bahamas hotels are trying to get American travelers to ditch the end-of-the-workweek torture by offering free Friday-night stays when you book a minimum of four consecutive nights.
The Bahama Fridays Free Getaway encourages stressed-out cubicle drones to take a more island approach by beginning the weekend early. Aside from the free TGIF accommodations, you'll also get breakfast for two daily and welcome cocktails—which will surely help get your party started.
Ooh, look, the scaffolding has come down! NYC's newest hotel, Fashion 26 was understandably excited about this momentous occasion, which happened over the weekend in Chelsea. The opening on April 5 was almost here! And then ... And then came the rain.
Torrential rain in New York on Monday and Tuesday forced construction workers at the Fashion 26 site to switch gears from "finishing touches" to "flood-watch." We're glad to hear that the damage was minor, and the hotel's opening has only been delayed two days—to April 7.

Much like kiddie bloggers, pop-up stores are all the rage in the fashion world. So we're not that surprised that the pop-up concept has shifted to hotels.
The latest pop-up hotel is billed as the "world's smallest pop-up hotel" from VisitLondon.com and Radisson Edwardian Hotels. But this isn't a cardboard box or anything--it's actually an airstream trailer that's staffed with a concierge, a check-in desk, room service, a flat-screen TV, a sound system, fridge and dining room area plus a double bed with "luxury bedding" and most importantly, en-suite facilities.
Passport Magazine reports that the mobile hotel will make its way around the popular tourist attractions in London from March 15-19 but the only way to win a night's stay here is by entering online. The competition closes on March 7 so hop to it! In the meantime, watch the video tour here.
Lawyers are probably the last people you’d think need a hotel discount, but that’s just what they’re getting at the Ritz-Carlton Battery Park next month. Perhaps the Financial District hotel is sick of the area’s Wall Street bankers? Or maybe this is just an admission of the kind of clientele the R-C Battery Park likes to cultivate?
Not because it was reviewed by the New York Times this weekend. Oh, no. Forget highbrow journalism. It’s the pole that will reel them in.
This month, the W Hoboken is offering S-Factor workout classes as part of a Girls’ Night Out promotion. S-Factor, in case you don’t know, is a blend of striptease, ballet, and yoga, and all the rage with celebs like Kate Hudson.
Ooh, January sales! We love us a good shoe bargain but we love a deal on our next vacation even more. One of the first hotel chain deals of the new year comes from Hilton, although our initial excitement turned to the kind of disappointment you get when you find just one lone shoe on the sale rack with no partner.
The deal sounds good—Hilton are offering up to 50% off weekend stays at participating hotels worldwide. But the savings are more like 20% or 33% off at some properties, and try as we might, we struggled to find any properties in Europe offering the discount, and we plugged in a variety of cities and dates.
The good part is the deal is for any trip during 2010—as long as you book before January 31. And kudos to Hilton for giving us discounts on weekends—usually you have to travel mid-week to save on rates.
The Hard Rock San Diego will get all shook up and throw Elvis a birthday party January 8, which would have marked the King's 75th.
The daylong celebration will include free cake and an update on Elvis' favorite snack, the peanut butter and banana sandwich. Mini Hot Elvis sammies are made with a thick brioche bread smothered in butter, spread with peanut butter and banana slices, then griddled until melty. The minis will be free for hotel guests staying overnight January 8. But if you crave more, the hotel's Maryjane's restaurant will serve up full-size versions that come with fries for $4, which is half off the regular price.
Mull over your alimony options at Hotel Diva.
If you're feeling Elin Nordegren's fidelity pains, you can hide out at Personality Hotels to figure out whether to ditch your cheating Tiger. The female-owned-and-operated company wants to show some women solidarity with its Love Him or Leave Him package.
You can nurse your broken heart at one of the brand's six San Francisco hotels—Hotel Diva, Hotel Frank, Hotel Vertigo, Hotel Union Square, Hotel Metropolis and Kensington Park Hotel—for an evening and bring your girlfriends for support.
