We Spy With Our Little Eye, At The Standard East Village...

...a ping pong table! And real live guests are playing!
We've all been a little a lot curious about what changes might be coming to the Standard East Village, ever since it officially took over the Cooper Square Hotel in December. So far, the place looks kinda the same. Same curved glass tower. Same outdoor terrace. Same cramped rooms.
But one new bit of Standard-ization has brightened up the whole lounge...

Table Tennis is Now On at The Zetter Townhouse

Just 21 steps from the original Zetter Hotel in London is the brand-new Zetter Townhouse which quietly opened last month.
True to its name, the townhouse is a 13-room Georgian Townhouse filled to the brim with eclectic decor and furnishings along with a dining room, cocktail lounge and much to our delight, a room dedicated to table tennis. The owners of the Zetter take table tennis so seriously they've even formed a regular table tennis group that meets every Monday night called the Whiff Waff club. Cute. The game room is available for private parties and such but luckily townhouse "residents" can access the room whenever they want.
Meanwhile, upstairs, guests can stay in a Townhouse Club room for about 222 GBP a night. That includes free WiFi, complimentary spring water, mist-free bathroom mirrors, hot water bottles with hand-knitted covers, iPod docks, REN products, Gainsborough fabrics and a Union Jack canopy bed.
