It’s summer in Vienna right now, and summer in Vienna means sunshine. Lots of it. The land-locked city has been basking in 100 degree temperatures for the last few weeks. It can be brutal.
It’s a whole lot less brutal, though, at The Guesthouse, a Terence Conran-designed hotel that’s one of our all-time Wiener loves. The Guesthouse (Guesthaus?) goes all out for summer with outdoor patio seating in the brasserie (called a Schanigarten), picnic hampers and - the crowning glory - homemade ice cream.
D'USSEis the cognac that makes Beyonce and Jay-Z all drunk in love (and Solange possibly all violent) but you don't need to be a rap superstar to enjoy it. Instead, just pop into a W Hotel in New York.
The hotel collection is now offering a D’USSE de Leche, a cognac-flavored ice cream. It will be available through the W Hotel's room service as well as the hotels' Living Rooms (lobbies, in W-speak.)
