Were you one of the lucky ones to
wait in a line forever pick up an iPhone 6 last week? Congrats! You've now got a bendable phone in your pocket. Er, we mean, you can totally get bonus hotel rewards from The Grand Hyatt New York.
The hotel is offering iPhone 6 users complimentary Hyatt Gold Passport points, although there are a few catches. First, you have to actually stay at the Grand Hyatt New York with your new phone. Then, upon check-out, show the front desk that you posted a photo of your hotel stay somewhere on social media from your iPhone 6. You have to have tagged the hotel in the photo in some way too.
If all looks well, then 600 complimentary Hyatt Gold Passport points will be dropped into your account. If you don't have an account, the hotel will help you set one up. That's pretty cool, you know, if you were already planning on staying at the hotel.
The offer is available through October 16, 2014. Rates at the hotel start at $299 a night next weekend.

Not particularly eagle-eyed readers of HC will know we love the Parker Palm Springs with a passion that verges on the stalkeroo, but that our passion is burning a rather large hole in our pockets.
So join with us in rejoicing that the Parker is turning 10 years old on October 1, and to celebrate, it’s inviting us all over for a party at a pretty spectacular rate: a four-course dinner at Mister Parker’s and a room for just $75 per person.
The US Open is just two weeks away and if you're considering a trip to the Big Apple to watch your favorite players swing their rackets, here are four different hotel packages for four different types of fans. Game, set, match, turndown service!
· Accommodations in a one-bedroom suite at the hotel for five nights
· 2 tickets to the Taste of Tennis on August 21 where stars of the tennis and culinary worlds team up
· 2 passes to Party with the Pros on Saturday, August 23 hosted by tennis players Victoria Azarenka, John Isner and Sloane Stephens at Langham Place’s own Measure Lounge
· 2 tickets to the opening night of the US Open on Monday, August 25 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Forest Hills, in the Lagardère Tennis Luxury Suite, including buffet dinner and full open bar
· Limousine transfers to and from the matches back to the hotel.
Brace yourselves, the starting price for The Toast to Tennis package is $11,000 USD. However, the hotel is offering a more basic Toast to Tennis package which includes accommodations in a one-bedroom suite and complimentary breakfast at Measure. That package starts at $1,100 USD per night and you can further customize your stay Call the hotel at 212 695 4005.
Bicoastal travelers, you're in luck. Nancy J. Friedman Public Relations, the company who founded Hotel Week NYC , is bringing the discounts to the West Coast with the inaugural Hotel Week LA, happening from November 29-December 14.
Fourteen hotels (most of which are not NJFPR clients) will be offering discounted rates during the designated hotel week, such as the Andaz West Hollywood, The Redbury in Hollywood (pictured above), Mr. C Beverly Hills, The LINE Hotel and The London West Hollywood. Rates are typically around $200 a night, so long as you mention Hotel Week or use the special Hotel Week promo code.
Go here to check out the full list of hotels participating. You can make your reservations for November now and less than a month later on January 3, Hotel Week NYC will resume.
If we can't afford both a pied a terre in NYC and a beachfront house in Malibu, then this might be the next best thing.

The problem with Paris isn’t the famously rude service. It isn’t the highly priced, indigestible food. It isn’t even the lines of tourists snaking round the corner at every vaguely visitable site. No, the problem with Paris is that you pretty much have to remortgage your house for every night you stay there.
That’s why we were so delighted with the arrival of citizenM – it may be at Charles de Gaulle airport, but on ne peut sniffer pas at starting rates of €67.15 ($90).
But now a group of five Parisian hotels has gone one better, with a temporary project called Payez Ce Que Vous Voulez – yes, really, pay what you want. Even if that’s €1 ($1.34). Think of it as a pop-up affordable Paris project.
The hotels are a clutch of three and four star properties in the Opéra district (pretty central, if not particularly beautiful), and according to their project website, you’re invited to evaluate their “welcome, quality of service, room comfort and decoration” and then pay up accordingly on departure.

You're a good man, Clark.
Dear Dad, we're sorry that you've suffered through years of opening pointless gifts on Father's Day like the bland ties, the boxes of golf balls you didn't need, the fad workout equipment you did need but didn't know how to operate and for that goofy Batman water bottle with "DAD" written on the back in permanent marker (Actual gift I gave my dad. I was 9.)
This year, there's no excuse for ho-hum gifts to give your father this Sunday, thanks to these hotels and their totally not lame offerings.
For The COOL DAD: The Hotel Palomar in San Francisco has put together a "Tie One On & Throw One Back" package that gives men a one night stay at the hotel, a beer-fueled private shopping appointment at the cool casual Bonobos Guide Shop; 20 percent off Bonobos purchases; either a beard trim or a straight razor shave at People's Barber Shop; and a "Get Me a Juice Box" Lunch Box at the hotel's rooftop bar, serving two cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon, a thermos filled with a Hot Toddy and a little bar snack. Rates start at $259 a night but the package must be booked two weeks in advance. Go online at www.hotelpalomar-sf.com and use code TIEON or call 866-373-4941.
For The RUM LOVIN' DAD: The Mandarin Oriental New York is offering a special Father's Day rum tasting flight of the Facundo Rum Collection in their Asiate restaurant, the Lobby Lounge and the MObar. Each selection of the Eximo, Exquisito and Paraiso aged sipping rums can also be paired with a cheese plate. Simply sipping on the rums is $65 per person while doing the cheese pairing is $85 per person. Make your reservations by calling 212-805-8800. The tasting ends on Sunday.

It’s one of the Coachella Valley’s most unique retreats, and now you can get the midcentury classic Hotel Lautner all to yourself – for Fourth of July no less.
The John Lautner-designed hotel (though actually it’s more of a self-catering option with four self-contained rooms, each with a kitchenette and private terrace) will be closing for the hot months of July and August, but before it shuts its doors, it’s offering a special Fourth of July weekend package: buy out the entire compound, which gets you all four rooms, the saline plunge pool, fire pit and BBQ.
The package costs $1900 for the Friday to Sunday, or $2850 for Friday to Monday, including tax. Considering each room usually costs $225 plus tax – midweek, low season – that’s not too shabby.
Rosewood Hotels and Resorts command a pretty penny but this summer, there's a way to enjoy the lovely and luxurious collection for (slightly) less.
Below is a list of the 15 Rosewood hotels and resorts and their special "More Rosewood" summer offers, all of which include a complimentary night (after booking sever consecutive nights, of course.) And yes, the gorgeous new Rosewood London, the classic Carlyle Hotel in NYC and the recently renovated Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi in New Mexico, are included. Decisions, decisions, decisions!
Now, that Memorial Day has passed, summer is (un)officially here and Swissotels are enticing guests with a new summer offer--20 percent off best available rates.
All Swissotels are participating in the deal from Sydney to Amsterdam, Phuket and Chicago with additional benefits thrown in like a complimentary room upgrade and a late check-out (if available.) Swissotels is also offering delivery charges for room service to be waived for guests who book online (as if we'd do it any other way!)
There are some terms and conditions to follow but nothing major. First, you need to book at least seven days in advance. The savings can't be combined with any offer except "Book Smart, Stay Smarter" which has pretty much the same perks. But other than those few things, the deal is good from May 31-September 30, 2014.

Vagabond Inn isn't exactly the design-forward, amenity-loving hotel brand that millennials are (supposedly) going after these days but a few of the budget hotels in Southern California are getting hip to an app the young kids love.
Vagabond Inns have partnered with Lyft, the pink moustache-wearing ride-sharing service that lets you book and pay for a pick-up via your smartphone. Guests at VIs will get a complimentary first ride worth up to $25, provided they are a new user to Lyft. All guests have to do is call the front desk for the special offer code and put it into the app when booking their ride.
Meanwhile, rates at a Vagabond Inn probably won't be much more than that free Lyft plus breakfast and WiFi are included.
You may already have your calendar marked on June 2 for Cyber Manday but there's another big hotel sale coming up very soon. Tomorrow, in fact.
The sale is giving guests a complimentary perk on top of the best available rate or the Experience Summer Like a Local deal, which varies depending on the property but throws in a fun summery-themed experience for less.
The 2014 FIFA World Cup kicks off on June 12 and while the extreme football fans will head to Brazil to watch the matches, the majority of fans will settle for catching a couple of games in their local pub or bar. (That's what we plan on doing.) But these Miami-area hotels want you to watch the matches with them instead. Miami--it's kinda like Brazil!
The new b2 miami downtown has put together a b2 is for Brazil! package that gives 25 percent off the best available rate, 15 percent off food and drinks at Biscayne Tavern, the hotel's gastropub concept from Jeffrey Chodorow of China Grill Management; two signature cocktails at the tavern and a World Cup special edition souvenir. The package is available to book online from June 1 to June 15 with rates starting at just $99 a night. (Gotta love Miami in the off season.) Use promo code Brazil to book.
In Miami Beach proper, The W South Beach is offering a Timeout Getaway which includes a two-night stay; an in-room “Create-Your-Own Caipirinha Kit” amenity; special Brazilian themed dishes at the W's The Dutch restaurant; two signature cocktails daily, inspired by the countries of the competing teams in The World Cup and the ability to watch World Cup games from the guest rooms, the Living room and in select poolside private cabanas (those cost extra.) The packages starts at $489 a night and is available from June 12-July 13. Call 1.877.822.0000 to book but you must have seven days advance notice.
Further north in Ft. Lauderdale, the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa has created the "Kick It, Kick Back and Relax” deal that gives guests 20 percent off lowest available rates if you book three nights or more. The hotel will be showing the games on a flat-screen TV at their beachfront bar. Rates start at $207 a night, based on double occupancy. Book by June 5 for travel from June 2 to July 31. Go here to book and use promo code ADR.
