Foodies flock to fine hotels to dine on gourmet eats, whether it be whole-roasted Peking duck or Baja-style fish tacos. But could the promise of delicious eats at a hotel restaurant get you to stay in a Days Inn?

The Days Inn San Francisco Downtown/Civic Center Area's restaurant might just make you book a room. While it's not big on ambiance, the Double Decker restaurant specializes in made-to-order hamburgers using high-end ingredients like Niman Ranch beef typically found in fancier burger joints.

The new, swanky Andaz West Hollywood — the first US property from the Andaz chain — used to be the old Riot Hyatt. Accordingly, the bar and restaurant inside the hotel is called RH (R for Riot, H for Hyatt, yes) and the LA Times recently went to check the place out.

Now, let us take a moment to first mention one thing: rooms at the Andaz are down to $169. Does that necessarily mean you'll be paying reasonable prices for the grub and cocktails at RH? No, no it doesn't. Burgers here will run you a riot-inducing $35.

Possibly nothing is sweeter than checking into a fancy-schmancy hotel and finding out its secrets. Hopefully these secrets include at least one of three things: a guests-only roof deck, access to a glassed-in lap pool, and/or a hidden restaurant. Figuring that it's been a while since we last waxed poetic about the divine existence of the New York Le Parker Meridien's own secluded greasy spoon, and since it's a Friday, we decided to swing by the good old Burger Joint.

Bobby Flay, the man who created what we like to call "The Stoner" (a delicious hamburger with chips already inside the bun) for its supreme munchie factor, is bringing his comfort food to Mohegan Sun.

Mmm Burgers :: Best Hidden Hotel Burger Shops

BLT Burger has just opened inside of the Mirage in Las Vegas and we're already drooling. The all-burger dining experience comes from Chef Laurent Tourondel, he of the BLT Steak and BLT Market fame and here's a taste of what you can expect:

Specialty burgers include the Tex-Mex, a 7-ounce beef burger with jalapeños, chili, avocado, salsa, jack cheese, onions and sour cream; Lamb Tandoori Burger, a slightly spicy Colorado lamb burger topped with mint-cilantro yogurt sauce, cucumber, olives, red onion and tomato; and a signature Meatball Burger composed of ground veal, pork and ricotta and served with garlic pomodoro sauce.

Don't forget about the burger homage to Las Vegas: The Stripper, a 7-ounce beef burger in true Las Vegas style with lettuce, tomato, onion and bell pepper without the bun. A classic burger here starts at $12 and the Kobe burger is a pricier $17.

So with the opening of BLT Burger inside the Mirage, we thought we'd let you know of a few other noteworthy hotels in the U.S. that feature burger shops.

Keep Reading to Find Out Where.

25 Degrees of Separation at the Hollywood Roosevelt

Burger, Interrupted

Upon our visit to the Hollywood Roosevelt last weekend, only one really good thing came out of that experience--the burger we had at the hotel's 25 Degrees restaurant. We actually went again last night to introduce our friend to this amazing burger.

Open 24 hours (dangerous!), this joint is the fourth eatery from Domaine Restaurants which also runs The Dakota inside the Roosevelt. The interior was done by Thompson Hotels pet designer Dodd Mitchell who gave the place a “Bordello meets Burger Bar” kind of look with black and chrome-mirrored tiles on the walls and with oxblood leather booths that wrap around half moon-shaped wooden tables. Adding to the cool factor are the staff's Ed Hardy t-shirts. Oh wait, that's not cool anymore.

Now onto the food. 25 Degrees serves only burgers, any kind/style/meat that you like, along with kick-ass fries and onion rings. Although we suggest ordering these fried sides in half-orders since they are huge. Plus ask for ranch dressing, you won't be sorry.
