Yes, People Can See You In Your Gansevoort Hotel Room

There's tons of hotel news flying around this week and we don't have time to give each and every story the love and attention it may deserve, so you will have to settle for some news briefs.

· Hotel Nudes: The nudity wars are on in NYC. This time a man shows us his rear view as he "folds and unfolds" clothing while at the Gansevoort. And we thought the panty shot at Cooper Square was risque. [Curbed]

· Hotel Hell: The Ramada Plaza Orlando has been evacuated as police officers try to convince an armed suspect to leave. [Orlando Sentinel]

· Royal Hawaiian Hosts Re-opening Party: The Pink Palace of Hawaii celebrated its grand re-opening with tons of celebs like Heather Graham and Justin Long. [KHNL]

· Hotel Renovations Update: The Hyatt Regency Suites in Palm Springs will get a new look on its exterior which is great news. We just hope they are doing work inside too. [The Desert Sun]

· Hotel Woes: AC Casinos post biggest monthly revenue drop ever. Cue Debbie Downer music. [AP]

The Return of Fugly Hotel Carpeting

We don't like kicking Hawaii when its occupancy rate is down but this fugly carpeting from the hallway at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Waikiki is scary. This picture was taken this month which would mean that the hotel's recent renovations obviously haven't covered carpeting.

And we're not sure we've encountered the protea flower in person but does it look as scary in real-life as it does on this rug?

On the bright side, anyone who loves the color pink (and we know someone who does) will love this hotel whose pink exterior has earned the nickname, The Pink Palace. That carries over to the website too, which is shockingly pink. Elle Woods already loves it.
