Golden Tulip Rotterdam is The Megatron Hotel

More Guess the Hotel Revealed!
Yesterday we put out an APB on this funky Transformer-inspired hotel in Rotterdam and two helpful tipsters let us know that the "more than meets the eye" hotel is the Golden Tulip Rotterdam Centre.
This "design hotel" looks better than any other Golden Tulip we've seen before and we can't knock the Free WiFi that is present throughout the property. And advertised prominently on the hotel's website!
Despite the hotel's futuristic look it was constructed in 1987 although it did get a recent renovation in 2007. The hotel is rather large too with 263 rooms and suites. It's location next to the Erasmus bridge on the Maas river has earned it the nickname "Manhattan on the Mass." We have to admit, there is something Gansevoorty about this place.
Younghotello says the hotel is so-so and reviews on TripAdvisor seem to agree. Yet it doesn't cost Manhattan prices. Room rates start at 95 Euros per room.
