At The Salvatore Ferragamo Hotel in Florence You'll Find (What Else?) Salvatore Ferragamo Toiletries
Oscar de la Renta is not the only fashion designer with his own bath toiletries in hotels. Long before Oscar unveiled his new line for Peninsula Hotels, fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo had put their Tuscan Soul toiletries in the Lugarno Collection, their small portfolio of Italian hotels. And thanks to HotelChatter Flickr Member, Uggboy, we've got a close-up of what the amenity line looks like.
This photo was snapped at the Gallery Hotel in Florence near the Ponte Vecchio which houses its own Salvatore Ferragamo museum downstairs. But you won't leave the hotel with just Ferragamo toiletries.
As part of the Salvatore Ferragamo Experience, guests get a tour of the museum as well as a private shopping excursion to the SF store upstairs. Guests of the Gallery Hotel's suites also get a private visit to the Salvatore Ferragamo Creations Santa Trinita Boutique, where historical Ferragamo shoe collections, accessories and a 10% discount await. Rooms start at 225 Euros.
Want to nab some Ferragamo toiletries closer to home? They can also be found at several Waldorf Astoria hotels.

Word to lovers of fashion hotels (and Facebook founders): the Ferragamo family is expanding its hotel empire by opening Portrait Firenze next year, sister hotel to Portrait Suites in Rome – where Zuckerberg honeymooned – and part of its Lungarno Collection.
Right on the river Arno, you will be in the heart of Firenze, and if you’re lucky enough you’ll be able to see the Ponte Vecchio from your balcony. There will be only 36 rooms and suites, ranging from a 430 square foot Studio to the 1,400 sq ft Signature Suite with view of the river. First images of the rooms certainly look lovely, with dark hardwood floors, off-white/light grey walls and modern furniture. Bathrooms are slathered in Carrara marble, with – of course – Salvatore Ferragamo toiletries. Each room comes with its own complimentary iPad.

With the launch this week of Dan Brown’s next magnum opus, Inferno, the Ferragamo (as in Salvatore) family-owned Lungarno Collection of hotels has come up with an Inferno Package that lets you follow in the footsteps of our intrepid hero, Robert Langdon, as he searches the hidden passageways of Florence to learn the hidden secrets to Dante’s Divine Comedy.
The Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Vecchio and the house of Dante are just three of the places on this three-hour special access tour you'll go to before the film crews arrive and take them over to shoot the next Robert Langdon AKA Tom Hanks movie.
But that ain’t all, folks. You’ll also get:
The Ferragamo family has already proven themselves to be fairly good hoteliers, what with their collection of luxury boutique hotels around Italy. Now, Salvatore Ferragamo's son, Massimo, is focusing on his Tuscan getaway, Castiglion del Bosco, a 4,500-acre estate.
The property is still under construction as Ferragamo is upgrading the land which includes, stabilizing the ruins of a 10th century church, building a spa and two restaurants, a golf course, a winery and a horse stud farm.
Oh and yes, this will be a hotel. By Spring 2010, Castiglion del Bosco will have 20 villas and 26 "hotel" suites. Currently, nine villas are finished and 16 hotel suites are open. Rates range from 600 to 3,000 a night.
If by some reason, you have this kind of money to burn in these scary economic times, we suggest going to CdB pronto. The estate will soon become a members-only place and the hotel suites and villas will only be open for members and their family and friends. The membership fee is something like 2million. So yeah. Um. Right.
