A Sneak Peek at Custom Hotel's Airline-Inspired Uniforms

The other month we took you inside the newly revamped Custom Hotel near Los Angeles International Airport and we were tickled by all the new airline-inspired things the hotel added to its decor, amenities and services like the hotel's logo which is a set of wings surrounding the letter C, the Layover Lounge which serves at the hotel lobby, and the aviation-inspired floor names like Supersonic and Stratosphere. Oh and the paper airplanes left on the bed for VIP guests.

We also mentioned that the hotel's employees would soon be rocking uniforms and nametags inspired by the airlines of the 1960s. (Yes, it's so very Pan Am!) And finally, we've got our hands on some sketches for the uniforms.

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of Le Place D'Armes, the Montreal hotel kindly asked fashion designer Dennis Gagnon to whip up some snazzy new staff uniforms. And on Tuesday night, those uniforms—scarves, zippers, Aldo shoes and all—were debuted to a small crowd inside Suite 701 (the hotel's billowy, high-ceilinged bar).
