Harry Styles Severely Hugged By Overzealous Fan at Oslo Hotel
Harry Styles of boy-band One Direction was the subject of an aggressive hugging barrage by a few fans while he was exiting Oslo's $2,175-a night room at the Holmenkollen Park Hotel. Taylor Swift's-ex was taking the intimate attack in stride and even reached out to hug the woman back, but the Norwegian security team shut it down when another girl came out of nowhere to get her some love, too. They quickly ushered him on to his tour bus and sent him on his way.
Apparently One Direction has so many problems with over-eager fans (and ex-girlfriends) they're said to be hiring President Obama's security team for the US portion of their Take Me Home World tour which begins in June.
Man, the life of a boy band member is super hard, huh?

Atlantis, The Palm Proves Too Extreme For DJ David Guetta
It's never been a secret that Atlantis, The Palm likes to do things on a big scale. Its grand opening party alone coast $35 million.
So we wonder why celebrity DJ David Guetta received such a shock when he checked into his suite at the hotel recently. He griped to 7 Days In Dubai:
"My room is so crazy I’ve never seen anything like it. They gave me a room where the bedroom is under the aquarium. I’m sleeping with sharks and stingrays and I had to close the curtains because I couldn’t sleep, it was freaking me out."

Jammin' with Bon Jovi at JW Marriott Essex House
Last night guests who came to celebrate the official re-opening of Manhattan's legendary Essex House into the JW Marriott Essex House, was treated to another classic treat--the musical stylings of Jon Bon Jovi!
The rock legend told the crowd he'd stayed at the hotel "many, many times" (though we couldn't get anyone to confirm if he was staying that night in the occupied Presidential Suite!). He serenaded the crowd with favorite hits like "Dead or Alive" and "Living on a Prayer", who got a kick out of singing the words back to him.
The 40-story Essex House, which overlooks Central Park and has been open since 1931, officially resumed its JW name in September 2012 after operating under the Jumeirah brand. When Strategic Hotels & Resorts acquired the hotel in 2012 from the Dubai Investment Group, they invested several million dollars for a modest make over that you can see in the 509 rooms, spa, and restaurant.

A New Low? Vikram Chatwal Gets Kicked Out Of His Own Hotel
The downstairs restaurant at Dream Downtown hasn't exactly had an easy run. First, it opened as the "theatrical dining" concept Romera, by neurologist-turned-chef Miguel Sanchez Romera. The NY Times panned it. Then, earlier this year, a BondSt sushi spin-off opened in the form of Japanese-French fusion joint Cherry.
And now, the NY Post reports that, after an "altercation" inside Cherry, hotelier Vikram Chatwal was thrown out of his own hotel. Yikes.

Where The World's Most Beautiful Woman Vacations
People Magazine recently named Gwyneth Paltrow 2013’s "World's Most Beautiful Woman" and that set off a debate frenzy as to whether the actress deserved such a title. Even Paltrow herself has been quoted as saying that while she’s honored, it’s “obviously not true.”
Still, we’re more interested in where a woman with such a high honor go for a little R&R? Especially now after that much publicity. Well, we’re happy to say she’s a fan of some of our favorite places!
Viceroy Sugar Beach, St. Lucia
Paltrow visited the newly renamed and rebranded resort (it used to be Jalousie) with her children, Apple, 8, and Moses, 6. She wrote on her lifestyle website Goop.com, “We are just back from an amazing (and sadly short) holiday at Sugar Beach -- A Viceroy Resort in St. Lucia. It was heaven.” Oh, and she also had to clarify that Moses wasn't drinking a pina colada out of his coconut.

Which NYC Hotels Did Celebs Hit Up This Week?
It was a busy week for celebs coming in and out of Manhattan's hottest hotels (we admit there's a bit of redundancy there, since celebs are rarely caught staying in places that aren't exclusive, trendy, and, most importantly, expensive). Though certain stars have better taste in hotel than others.
For starters, circus act the Kardashians were in town on "business." We had to smirk a little at the Daily Mail's photos, which show the pack ceremonially exiting the Trump Soho. In the front is Kris Jenner, who's clutching an iPhone with the epithet "Queen of F***ing Everything" printed in block letters on the back. Classy.
Nice to see they've matured from their party-hearty days at Smyth Tribeca. Though if we ever end up as hotel room neighbors with the Kardashians, you can bet we'll be calling the Front Desk pronto to switch floors (we think little baby Mason is cute, though).
Meanwhile, Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson was photographed checking out of the uber-hip Bowery Hotel, looking a little downcast. Though the photos didn't immediately make it clear which hotel he was at, we spotted one of the signature red bellmen's overcoat and knew exactly where he was. Dead giveaway!
We're glad all the drama is now behind him, but we've got to admit, RPatz certainly looked a lot more upbeat during his $3,900-a-night hotel trysting days.

Hot Mommas! Bikini Clad Celebrity Moms' Family Vacation Spots
Who says family vacations can be stressful? For these three famous mothers, getaways look effortless. Sure, they've probably got help, but you too can have a great time if you pick the right resort. That means choosing a place with a great kids' program, child-friendly foods, and of course, a pool or beach.
If you have all these things in place and you're pretty much guaranteed to have a good time. What we can't guarantee? That you'll look as STUNNING as these three mommas do, post-partum. What's their secret? We're dying to know and crazed with jealousy.
This past weekend, after a court date with soon-to-be ex-husband Jason Hoppy, Bethenny Frankel hopped on a Miami-bound plane with daughter Bryn. The two had a girl’s getaway at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. The super-svelt Frankel (clad in skimpy bikinis and a silk Ramy Brook cover up) seemed to forget her marital woes, and had a ball with her Cheetos and Pop Chip-munching two-year old, who wore a super cute pink polka-dot wetsuit and matching goggles.

Macaulay Culkin Snaps, Then Checks Into the Ibis
Things got a little crazy for Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin earlier this week while he was vacationing in Brighton, England. Apparently, the former child star was leaving a nightclub late Monday night, when he had a full-on temper tantrum and ended up attacking one of the photographers waiting outside.
Tsk, tsk, Macaulay! What would Catherine O'Hara have to say about this?
After having to be physically restrained by other photographers, Culkin then jumped into a waiting van and sped off to his hotel, the Ibis*. (This wouldn't have been our first choice of hotel for an internationally-known movie star, but, hey, weirder things have happened!)
Culkin kept his face covered with sunglasses and a scarf as he made his way inside the hotel, where he was then photographed checking in at the Front Desk. The Daily Mail reports:
"At approximately 1.30am, Macaulay arrived at the Ibis hotel, covering his face with his scarf until he was safely inside the lobby. Once inside, the 32-year-old looked far calmer."
Based on how calm he looks at the hotel, you could almost be tricked into thinking the whole nightclub incident was much ado about nothing. Wrong. As the Daily Mail's photos clearly show, Culkin was having one heck of an episode—cursing and screaming, hair all disheveled, arms akimbo, psycho-killer-style.
We just hope his next hotel plans ahead with lots of fruit baskets and smiling employees. They certainly don't want to do anything that will upset this whacko.

Sharon Osbourne Gets Rubbed Down By Another Man at The Esperanza Resort
But don't worry, he was paid to do it. Er, we mean, she got a poolside foot massage while vacationing at the Esperanza Resort in Cabo San Lucas yetserday, according to these pics on TMZ.
Rumors have been swirling lately that the thought-to-be rock-solid rock n' roll marriage between Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon is now, well, on the rocks. Ozzy has apparently admitted on Facebook that he's been using drugs and drinking alcohol again and has just been a total nightmare to his family. Yet he denied that they are splitting. SooSharon is just taking some much-deserved "me" time at the Esperanza.
She's probably booked one of the resort's villas which include gourmet kitchens, spacious bedrooms and baths, garden courtyards and sweeping ocean views, although she would probably be equally happy in one of the casitas or suites at the Auberge hotel which start at 925 sq. ft. of indoor/outdoor living space and have private terraces (with hammocks!)

Beyonce and Jay-Z Make Hotel Saratoga Their Havana Hideout
By now, everyone's seen the images of a cigar-wielding Jay-Z, strolling hand in hand with his wife Beyonce through the streets of Old Havana. No doubt, Cuba is high on most of our travel wish lists, so it almost seemed unfair that the pair should not only be granted special licenses to travel there, but also parade around like royalty under the flashes of hundreds of paprazzi cameras.
Perhaps most memorable of all was a photo taken of them waving from their balcony at the Saratoga Hotel.
The 96-room hotel is pure Havana elegance: the three-sided, white-and-pink facade is wrapped with wrought-iron balconies; inside, the look is continued with marble staircases, plaster columns and large murals depicting Cuba's scenery. We like picturing Mr. and Mrs. Carter lounging on the rooftop pool, sunlight glinting off their Havana Club cocktails, teaching Blue Ivy how to dance the rumba.
Though the building itself dates back to 1933, the hotel recently re-opened in 2005, and remains Havana's top five-star hotel. Rooms feature big ol' claw foot tubs, double-glazed windows (to keep out the roaring Havana traffic noise), and views of the National Capitol Building across the street.
We're guessing Beyonce and Jay-Z opted for a top-floor suite, but for the rest of us normal folk (who will end up touring the city sans mob, rates start at $195/night.

Follow Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler All the Way To Sun City This Summer
Over the weekend, Drew Barrymore spilled the beans to the Wall Street Journal about her next project, a romantic comedy with long-time collaborator Adam Sandler.
The duo haven't starred in anything together since 2004's 50 First Dates. In that one, Barrymore's character suffered from a short-term memory disorder, meaning every date was technically a "first date." And according to the WSJ, this new movie will center around "a couple who, after surviving a dreadful first date, find themselves at a family resort with the kids from their respective previous marriages."
Which tells us two things: one, they clearly have a theme going here. Second, they'll be filming at a resort.
Sure enough, an insider confirms that the entire cast and crew will be heading to Sun City Resort in six weeks to begin shooting the film. The resort, which is two hours from Johannesburg, is made up of four hotels totaling 1,301 rooms, with botanical gardens, outdoor pool, hiking trails, golf course, man-made lake, and a casino.
The Palace of the Lost City Hotel (pictured above) is modeled after a "fairytale African palace," while the Cabanas Hotel is the top choice for families (so we're guessing that's where the actors will end up doing their thing.)
Concerning the three-month shoot, Barrymore told the WSJ that she's "a little worried" about the long-haul flight and "making sure there's medevac if anything happens." We can't say we blame her—when you're that far away from home, the last thing you want to deal with is an injury. How else are you supposed to enjoy the zip slides?

Miley Cyrus Joins "Suspicious-Looking Cigarette" Smoking Crowd
Somfh. Yup, we are dropping expletives, cuz we're crazy perplexed at this new breed of twentysomethin' Hollywood Brat Packers. They all seem hella intent in being filmed with “suspicious looking cigarettes” in hand. And again, we don't judge their downtime habits, we just get tired of the damage control they feel they need to go through, when they could just say "screw it, this is what I do." Certainly worked for Willie Nelson, Snoop, Woody Harrelson and plenty of other up-front chronic smokers.
Anyhoo, our latest offender/denier would be Blondie-in-training Miley Cyrus, who decided the perfect place to light up a spliff-like cigar, would be the balcony of her Miami hotel.
Now, do celebs smoke outside because they fear a hotel's $200 in-room smoking fee? BTW, that's us being smartasses.
See, they light up these big ‘ole "cigarettes", knowing the papps are watching, then have pictures like these show up...
