Lagoon Bungalow at Turtle Inn

Ever wanted to live vicariously through a Coppola? You know, make a film or two, become a household name, travel affluently?

Well, we can promise you only the latter, friends, as we now have the official 4-1-1 on where Francis, Sofia and Roman stay when they travel to Belize. Obviously, they're going to crash at the Turtle Inn, a 17-acre beachside property FFC bought back in 1999.

But which rooms do they shack up in?

First, let's talk about Turtle Inn. It's the only luxury resort in the fisherman village of Placencia, Belize, reachable by a 30-minute puddle jumper from Belize International Airport. There's 25 rustic villas and cottages, two salt-water pools, three restaurants, a beach bar and a memorable staff to boot (shout out to Rudy!).

Accommodations come equipped with outdoor showers and gardens, homemade cookies (in a bottomless jar), screened porches and thatch roofs reaching up to 30 feet. The spa is fronted by Thai masseuses who can have you knackered in minutes and the new Miss Ellie dive boat that can drop you off at a deserted island within an hour.

Should you want to do the Coppola resort like an actual Coppola, you have three accommodations to choose from...

Harry Styles And Taylor Swift Get It On At The Greenwich Hotel

Oh man, Taylor Swift and her new boy band-er beau Harry Styles are, like, sooo busted. The pair were reportedly hanging out in NYC on Monday night—you know, just doing regular kid stuff like singing karaoke at Hudson Hotel. By 4am, the pair still weren't ready to call it a night, so one thing led to another, and soon they were back at Taylor's suite at the Greenwich Hotel.

What happened after that, we'll leave up to your imagination. But we're willing to bet it didn't involve more karaoke.

The next morning, paparazzi caught each of them leaving the hotel at separate times. Ah, the classic walk of shame, just like we used to do in college, except with dorms instead of expensive hotels. And nobody cared about taking our picture. Phew!

More Importantly, Where Did Celebs End Up After the Storm?

November 2, 2012 at 9:03 AM | by | Comments (0)

A bearded Russell Crowe waltzes off to his uptown hotel...

So far, we've brought you Sandy-related reports on pressing matters like price gouging, the Park Hyatt's rogue crane and the surge in hotel cancellations. But moving on to the real question on everyone's mind: how have celebs managed to cope since Sandy hit the Big Apple?

Quite well, as a matter of fact. While plenty of downtown New Yorkers were busy digging out candles from kitchen cabinets and wearing blankets to compensate for lack of heating (actually, some downtown hotel guests were doing the same thing), a flock of A-listers were ditching their power-less TriBeCa, SoHo and Greenwich Village apartments for a plush uptown refuge, where the electricity flows like honey and the shoe shine kiosk stays open all night long.*

Yup, we're talking about The Mark.

The Chateau Marmont Can Now Live Forever On Your Coffee Table

A new photography book depicting celebrities in various states of slumber at the Chateau Marmont will be released next month. According to a review on Artbook, Asleep At the Chateau will be the first illustrated book devoted to the iconic West Hollywood hotel, despite plenty of afterparty recaps, Lindsay Lohan-related gossip, and other tabloid stories published about the place on an almost weekly basis.

However, despite being one of the most publicized hotels in all of Los Angeles (and maybe even the world), the Chateau remains notoriously private, rarely allowing photographers inside the rooms. The fact that Jork Weismann was given an all-access pass, and managed to capture stars like Orlando Bloom, Justin Theroux, and Usher looking all cute and snuggly, only adds to the book's hype.

Well, that and the above photo of Eva Longoria's butt.

The ever-wandering Kardashians have descended upon Miami—again.

Since we're assuming you follow the show as religiously as us, we don't need to remind you Khloe and Kim already "took" the city back in 2010, and now it's Kourtney and Kim's turn, as E! announced a new spinoff, Kourtney and Kim Take Miami will premiere in January.

On Saturday, all three sisters turned up the Eden Roc: film crew, fluffy white kitten, newborn baby, and all. But before you start reaching for the phone to cancel your reservation and find another Miami hotel far, far away from the Kardashian k-ortège, rest assured: this is only a temporary pit stop. At least until their house, which TMZ estimates is worth close to $6 million, is all set up and ready to go. So, isn't that a relief?

Britney Spears Is Avoiding the Hotel Minibar These Days

September 14, 2012 at 11:52 AM | by | Comments (0)

It would be accurate to report that every time Britney Spears checks out of a hotel, the minibar has been cleaned out. But it would be more accurate to report that the minibar is actually emptied before she even gets there in the first place.

Us Weekly is reporting that, as a preventative measure, Britney's team requires all hotels to remove the contents of the minibar before the star arrives. That way, she won't be tempted back into her maniacal old head-shaving ways. She's got a proper job these days, crushing the dreams of aspiring pop stars. She ain't got time to be boozing it up in hotel suites!

The perks of being a celebrity are numerous: restaurants fall over themselves to give you the best seat in the house, stylists are employed full-time to make you look fab, and you even get to show up unannounced at other people's fancy hotel weddings! What a life.

But once in a while, celebs like to give back. No, we're not talking about obscure charity foundations or flying to Africa to pose with schoolchildren.

We're talking about the stuff that matters. Like a Deluxe Room at London's The Dorchester.

According to ABC, Lady Gaga recently made friends with a UK couple who were hosting their wedding reception at the swank 5-star hotel. After speaking with them, and, apparently, liking them, she offered up a deluxe room at the hotel as a wedding gift. (Which, we should remind you, typically goes for around £475/night.)

How Mariah Carey Made Guests At The Carlyle Very Happy

Over the weekend, a few guests were enjoying some light jazz during dinner at The Carlyle in New York when one of their fellow diners got up on stage and join in with the band for an impromptu singalong.

Normally, this would not be cause for much concern, except for the fact that the amateur singer in question was no amateur at all but Mariah Carey, dressed in an iridescent gold Naeem Kahn dress, honey locks flowing down her shoulders.

The appearance, we're guessing, was slightly more than guests had originally bargained for when they booked their dinner reservations. Waiters, meanwhile, kept busy afterwards picking up jaws that had dropped to the floor.

Bid to Join James Bond at Claridge's and the London Premiere of 'Skyfall'

September 7, 2012 at 1:07 PM | by | Comments (0)

Hey, did you know that this year marks the 50th Anniversary of the first screening of a James Bond movie? The film was Dr. No, of course, and it premiered on October 5, 1962. To mark the occasion, Christie's auction house will be selling off a multitude of Bond gems, such as two of the cars used in recent films, as well as memorabilia such as signed posters.

You can read about those items over on our brother site, Jaunted, but really the magic for us lies in one particular hotel-focused lot: "Skyfall Premiere and Aston Martin Experience"

After being trapped inside a Liverpool hotel Beatles-style earlier this year, you'd think that the Bieb would make an effort to travel a little more incognito. Not the case. The pop star and sometimes rapper hopped onboard a private hire double-decker bus to arrive at the Royal Garden Hotel in London's posh Kensington neighborhood this weekend.

theWit Hotel Chicago Got Mixed Up with a Virgin and a Billionaire Last Night

Last night in a terrifically rainy Chicago, Virgin top dog Richard Branson filled up theWit Hotel with VIPs and held court on the roofdeck, joined by celebrities just in on one of Virgin America's first flights to Chicago from LAX and SFO. We caught Tim Meadows in the elevator, Adrian Grenier shying away from cameras, and Creed Bratton from The Office chilling...just to name a few. Of course Creed was our absolute favorite spotting of the eve.

It was a motley bunch, but in true Virgin style. The purpose of the whole thing was to announce to the Windy City that Virgin America has finally begun flights here, after three straight years of battling it out with the legacy airlines. It's such a big deal, that the party to celebrate the flights' arrival was also a Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Wines affair. And it's rumored that Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel joined Branson in his suite for pow wow.

The current big news on the celeb front has to do with the migration of the Twilight cast and crew down to Rio de Janeiro, where the honeymoon scenes of the upcoming Twilight: Breaking Dawn are being filmed. Stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are of course staying at the most iconic hotel in town, the Copcabana Palace, where their top-floor suite hasn't escaped the telephoto lenses of the paparazzi.

The Daily Mail claims that the duo briefly stepped out onto their terrace to wave and shimmy for the fans down below, but as you can see from the location of their suite on the picture of the hotel below, we doubt the fans without binoculars could even seen them.
