At New York's Jane Hotel, Size Doesn't Matter
Has it already been two months since we holed up for the night at The Jane Hotel? Although the hotel continues to open in stages, Sean MacPherson and Eric Goode's precious nugget of maritime (and New York) history has been boarding actual paying guests alongside SRO tenants since early September. So how's the barely-there hotel doing?
Forgoing hotel review sites for the moment, we headed straight to Flickr, wondering who else has uploaded any pictures from a Jane Hotel stay. Right away we found an amazing picture of one of the rooms taken by Flickr user chromewaves, a resident of Ontario, Canada who bedded down at The Jane only two weeks ago. His two cents on the place echoed our first review:
They say [the room's] 50 sq ft, but I think 50 cubic feet might be more like it. It's about the size of a queen-sized bed. Note that I had to stand in the hallway to get a picture of it. It's tiny and adorable and hilarious, all at the same time. I love it.
