The Muse Hotel must be feeling upstaged. Just when it looked like the hotel's drag party would be the only show on Broadway tonight, the strike that shuttered theaters has ended. But, as they say, the show must go on.
So the Muse will press onward with its Red Hot Night Party, which we hear will be "on the wild side" and include boas, drag queens and plenty of cocktails. But it's more than an excuse to get drunk at a hotel; it's a charity fund raiser for Bailey House, which assists people suffering from HIV and AIDS.
The fun starts at 6 pm tonight, and your $5 admission also included the first drink. See ya there!

The stagehand's strike that's crippled Broadway doesn't seem to be affecting hotels just yet. (The same can't be said for restaurants in the Theater District.) We called around to get the scoop, and so far, concierges say upset guests are the worst of the fallout.
At the W Times Square, a concierge says he's already got a Rolodex full of alternate activities for theater-goers:
People are coming up to us about every 10 minutes. A lot of them are very disappointed. There are about 10 shows still playing, so there's that. [Ed note: There are 8.] Other than that, it depends on what they're interested in: Off Broadway shows, Radio City shows, Madison Square Garden shows, jazz clubs, comedy clubs, museums.
And a concierge at The Muse Hotel reports about the same:
Some of my guests have been very lucky, they have tickets for the shows that are on. Others, well, they're upset, but it's not too bad. We recommend alternate things, Radio City, museums. No one really blew their tops at us, thank heavens!
