She's so fancy, but you already know...
After last year's
disastrous cutting edge punk party, the Costume Institute Met Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, co-chaired by Vogue's Anna Wintour, took on a more refined air this year with the "White Tie and Decorations" theme. Celebs and models alike came to the event dressed in the best of the best couture but probably left a little lighter in the pockets as tickets start at $25,000.
Before hitting the red carpet, the pretty faces and bold names strutted their stuff outside The Mark Hotel, the traditional pre-Met Gala party spot. Here's a look at what Anna, Posh and Becks, Bradley Cooper (another co-chair!) and our girl crush Lupita Nyong'o were wearing last night.
Bradley Cooper goes literal with the "White tie" theme.
Posh and Becks keep it, well, Posh and Becks style.
We heart everything about this picture. She can do no wrong.
While the tickets to the Met are out of your price range, the rooms at The Mark are "only" $695 a night for a superior queen room.

E! Online says that Kate and her rocker du jour, Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy were dining at the legendary steakhouse, Le Ami Louis in Paris when in walked Bradley and Renee. The group pushed some tables together, dined for a bit and then hit the Plaza Athenee's hotel lobby for a little after party. The foursome didn't do much while they were there although E! reports that at one point, Kate and Renee huddled in the corner for a private chat.
Either way, R. Kelly would be proud.
We're guessing they ate at the hotel's restaurant, The Church Lounge, which begins lunch service at 11am. While Tribeca Grand still holds a lot of clout as far as downtown hotels go, this is a bit of an unusual stop for such high-wattage stars. But perhaps a low-key, nearly forgettable scene is just what they were hoping for.
However, we hope Renee was not fishing for compliments on her outfit as the Daily Mail did not, DID NOT, like her get-up. Like, at all.
A man in uniform, holding the hotel door open for us, candles flickering … Let’s make that Bradley Cooper in uniform, flashing us that smile … Oops. Hello there! Yes, you caught us daydreaming, but if we had a time machine this could have been a reality. Back in the late '90s when Morgans was the hottest hotel in New York City, it had a doorman to match: future Hollywood heartthrob Bradley Cooper.
The Hangover star was on Letterman last week, chatting about his gig at the first Morgans Hotel, which apparently involved lighting up the lobby in more ways than one. Part of the job description was keeping the tea lights dotted around the room lit when gusts of wind from the door opening blew them out.
