Nikki Beach Resort & Spa To Open in Bodrum in 2014

A couple of things need to be said here: One, wow -- Turkey is on fire right now, and two – so is this Miami-based hotel brand. Nikki Beach Hotels & Resorts likes a good beach party, and soon you’ll be able to join the revelry and then sleep over in not only Bodrum, Turkey, but in Greece, Croatia, Cyprus, Thailand and Lebanon as well.

But back to Turkey, where this boutique hotelier, who also has a host of Beach Clubs that specialize in catering to swanky sophisticates who take their enjoyment of life very seriously, has announced that they’re opening the Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Bodrum in early spring 2014.

Bodrum is about 500 miles south of Istanbul, and people can get downright poetic about the beautiful bays of Torba and Türkbükü and the whitewashed quaintness of the city’s buildings. But don’t be fooled; at night it sheds its innocent demeanor and becomes party-central. The Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Bodrum will open on the shores of Torba, only about four miles from Bodrum’s city center if you should feel the need to ever leave the resort.

Mandarin Oriental Heads to Turkey While Park Hyatt Rises in Bangkok

We better start saving our pennies now because come 2014 there will be two brand-new luxury hotels that we will be dying to try out.

Earlier this week, Mandarin Oriental announced plans for the Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum in Turkey, located on the waterfront of "Cennet Koyu", or Paradise Bay, overlooking the Aegean Sea. The destination resort will have 82 guestrooms and 20 suites, all with sun-decks and terraces and some with private gardens and infinity-edged pools.

There will be six restaurants and lounges on a site, a signature Mandarin Oriental cake shop, a spa and a Beach Club offering a ton of water activities, including an array of pools. The resort will also have 214 residences attached.

The Tides are Changing at Viceroy Hotel Group

Tides Riviera Maya, now the Viceroy Riviera Maya

Now that the Tides South Beach is no longer a Viceroy Hotel (it belongs to cool kid hotel brand, King & Grove), we've been wondering what would be happening to the Tides Hotel brand that Viceroy had spun-out from this iconic South Beach property. Well, today we have our answer. Sort of.

Just after the Tides Riviera Maya in Mexico finished up their sexy renovations, it was announced that the hotel is now going by the name Viceroy Riviera Maya.
