Last Minute World Series Hotel Rooms in Denver

October 26, 2007 at 4:48 PM | by | Comments (0)

So the Colorado Rockies return to their home field this weekend hoping to at least ratchet up some runs against the Red Sox in the 2007 World Series.

We've already given you a list of hotels near Coors Field and we even mapped 'em out but just in case you are looking for a last-minute hotel deal, here are some of your options.

· Holiday Inn Select Cherry Creek: This is the 'burbs of Denver but 'nice burbs and rooms are $189 for Saturday and Sunday nights. Getting to Coors Field is easy if you have a car as downtown is only five miles away.

· Adam's Mark: Situated in downtown Denver, this hotel has rooms going for $299 a night. Walking to field could be doable but cab is better on the way home after you've been drinking in the altitude.

· Doubletree Hotel Denver: Rooms are going for $189 and Coors Field is about 5.5 miles away. But we noticed the cross street was MLK Boulevard. Eeeeeee.

Also one final note: If you've never been to Denver and are making a quick trip in and out, don't stay near the airport. The Denver airport is like a good 30/40 minutes from the actual city. So none of those airport hotels will be close to the game.

As always, send us your hotel suggestions.

Last Minute World Series Hotel Rooms in Boston

October 23, 2007 at 11:35 AM | by | Comments (0)

Hotel rates are out of control in Boston for the World Series, but there are rooms available for both Wednesday and Thursday when the Rock Show comes to Fenway.

At the end of the day the amount you pay for your hotel will pale in comparison to the amount you pay for a ticket. We just checked our trusty hotel rates search and here is what the all knowing meta algorithm came up with:

·Hilton Airport (blue line to green line FAR from fenway but right at APT) $429

·Back Bay Hilton Hotel (close to Fens -- you can walk) $529

·Nine Zero $589 (our favorite of this lot -- cool place cab or T from Fenway)

·Best Western Inn at Longwood -- (close to fenway, a decent Best Western, and hey, you will be at the Cask and Flagon wearing your pink Red Sox hat all night anyway so...) $349

Suddenly Boston is Manhattan, rates wise, but only for a couple days, thankfully.
