The hotel website is up and running, though there’s not much more info to be had – still on private island Sacca Sessola, aka L’Isola delle Rose, with 230 rooms, a spa, two pools, two restaurants, and event space constructed from the former church. There are a few more renderings: those that have us salivating are the aerial view, the rooftop infinity pool – pointing northwards towards Giudecca and San Marco! – and the Dopo Lavoro restaurant with its private dock.
12 March seems to be the opening date, according to the website. A deluxe room with garden view on opening night is €395 ($519). The baller room appears to be a “Residenza Pool Deluxe” with Venice view and a private pool. That’ll set you back €940 ($1234), but hurry – they’re nearly sold out on the 12th. Forza, ragazzi!
