More Côte d’Azur Pool Time at Tiara Yaktsa and Miramar

We may have listed eight of our favorite Côte d’Azur hotel pools earlier this year, but not surprisingly there are many – many – more to choose from. Shortly after our little sample of where you can take a refreshing dip in the south of France, two additional pools joined the list of options with the April reopening of their respective, and renovated, hotels from a small brand we don’t hear much about: Tiara Hotels.

Both are located in Théoule-sur-Mer, a village just west of glitzy Cannes, with above Tiara Yaktsa, a name that conjures up images of Thailand or Indonesia more than it does la douce France for us. The 21 rooms and suites also looks further afield for inspiration, with “Middle-Eastern Moucharaby flair” and a mix of creams and vibrant pinks and purples.

A short walk away, right on the waterfront, is Tiara Miramar, which is slightly larger at 59 rooms. You’ll find similar Oriental touches in and around the hotel, and pool-side lounging here is closer to the actual Mediterranean water. Staying at either hotel, you can take advantage of a number of dining options and a spa.

Rates at Tiara Miramar start at €160 ($215) a night, including breakfast, with Tiara Yaktsa slightly more expensive at €190 ($255) a night.
