The European chapter of Starwood’s expansion for Element Hotels has officially commenced: Element Frankfurt Airport opened its doors this past weekend.

Part of a mixed-use development called Gateway Gardens, the hotel is just over 2 miles from the airport terminal. TripAdvisor reviews haven’t made it onto the site just yet, but a first few questions regarding airport shuttles (there is one 24 hours a day) are being answered by the hotel.

Inside, you’ll find 133 studios and one-bedroom suites with Heavenly Beds, work spaces, free WiFi, and fully equipped kitchens. Breakfast is included in the room rate, there’s a 24-hour grab-and-go pantry if you have a flight to catch, as well as Spanish restaurant Limones. All the other eco-friendly and health-conscious things you’d expect from Element are there too.

Even better than all of the above? We can see rates for a one-bedroom suite from €89 ($117) a night later this month.

Building

I love elements, but that building is going to look seriously dated in about 5 years.
