It’s the delicious pairing of two brands at the top of their game that’s exciting us this week – no, not Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin, but Ananda (amazing spa brand) and Château Saint-Martin, the uberlux hotel in uberlux Côte d’Azur village Vence.

From 21-29 September, Ananda will be running a pop-up spa au Château. The focus? A detox program devised especially for the hotel by yogi Sushant Pandley, and tailored to your precise needs.

You can streamline your detox with the quick five day program, take a week over it or even string it out for nine days (any excuse to stay in the chateau). Activities include meditation and yoga, “theoretical aspects of yogic tradition” (us neither) and “stimulating and purifying ayurvedic therapies” like massage and reflexology – definitely the most fun part.

This is no terrifying LifeCo program, either - they’ll be laying on a special, ayurvedic-friendly menu for breakfast and lunch (by dinner you’ll probably be passed blissed out) in the hotel restaurant, with views as far as the Mediterranean.

Full details are here, but be prepared to do your yogic breathing before checking out the pricing. The four-night, five-day program costs €730 single occupancy per night, or €888 for two people in a Superior Junior Suite (the third room category, with a seaview balcony). The six-night, seven-day program is €740 per night single, €895 double occupancy; and the eight-night, nine-day one is €740 per night single occupancy, or €899 double. Prices include the program, plus breakfast and lunch. Expensive you say? Kinda.

But when you consider the cheapest rate for a Superior Junior Suite during that period is €640 per night, and you're getting treatments like massage on top, it's not as outrageous as some other detox programs. Not relatively, anyway. Not when you consider that sea view. *Checks bank balance, quietly returns to reading about the Lawrence-Martin affair.*
