Fresh Juices Are in Abundance at the Wailea Resorts on Maui
Maui Week has come to an end but before we get off the island (figuratively), here's one last way to make the most of your time there. In the meantime, don't forget to revisit our list of Must-Stay Hotels in Wailea, what to order at MiGRANT and MALA at The Marriott, what to stop in and see at the Andaz and where to get away from it all at the Hotel Wailea.
If you're a fan of juicing, then you've come to the right spot. Maui is all about the juicing. And it goes way beyond POG juice.
We picked up an interesting concoction at the Down to Earth organic supermarket when we left the airport called the Maui Cold Buster, made with pineapple and onion by Joy's Place (see below.) Yet while there are a ton of great local juice spots to hit up in Maui, you can also find fresh juices in crazy combinations inside the resorts in Wailea.
At the Wailea Beach Marriott, we discovered Whale Tail, a fresh juice stand right along the Wailea walk, just before the Grand Wailea resort. Here you can pick up a combo of veggie and fruit juices peppered with kicks like cayenne pepper and ginger along with smoothies, Starbucks brewed coffee, tea and snacks. Thanks to some cushy chairs, it makes for a great pit stop in between snorkeling, paddle boarding and pool time.
Down at the Four Seasons Maui, you can make your own smoothies or juice at the Duo restaurant (for $10) during breakfast. The Andaz Maui's Ka'ana Kitchen also has a wide array of fresh juices to try, including some mixed in with alcohol. Just how we like it.
But if you want your juice old-school Maui-style, look no further than the Fairmont Kea Lani who greets all its guests with a glass of POG. Ain't nothing wrong with that.
