EVEN Hotels, the 'Fit' Hotel Brand, Has Announced Their Healthy Restaurant Concept

We've been waiting patiently for the first properties from the wellness-oriented hotel brand, EVEN Hotels, to open and now the finish line is in sight with two Even Hotels opening before the end of the month. The rooms promise in-room training zones while there will be a more comprehensive fitness center on site.

But everyone knows it isn't just exercise that keeps you healthy. Yet EVEN has remained largely mum on their food and beverage offerings, telling HotelChatter way back when that healthier versions of hotel comfort food would be served.

But today, we've got the entire F&B concept plated right in front of us. It's called...

Cork & Kale.

Cork & Kale is an upscale, fast casual food and beverage offering featuring freshly prepared food and pre-packaged grab-and-go items, as well as retail-style products. The Cork & Kale Market will feature various choices for guests including heart-healthy and low-fat options, paleo or vegetarian-friendly dishes, as well as sweet indulgences. Through the “Good to Go” service, guests can pre-order balanced meals before 9 p.m. each night and pick up their breakfast or lunch the next morning on their way out the door, providing them with fuel for their entire day.

While the words "cork" and "kale" don't immediately conjure up the tastiest aspects of a meal, the food does sound extremely good for you. And more exciting than the generic "Club Sandwich" commonly found on hotel menus.

Some dishes that will be served at EVEN Hotels include the Cork & Kale Power Granola with a blend of goji berries, dried fruits and Qia chia protein with a drizzle of agave nectar. At night, guests can enjoy a Kale and 4 cheese flatbread with a blend of asiago, blue and mozzarella cheese topped with kale salad and balsamic glaze.

And living up to the Cork part of the name is the Cork & Kale bar which will serve "hand-crafted cocktails made with natural mixers and organic spirits, as well as a selection of beer and wine." One of the featured cocktails is the Cocomosa, made with TY KU Coconut sake, sparkling wine and fresh orange juice.

Of course, all nutritional information will be available on all menu items. But the EVEN hotel employees will also undergo a certification process about the menu so that they can make the right recommendations for guests, depending on what the guests are looking for.

So really, you will have no one to blame but yourself if you gain weight while staying at an EVEN Hotel. Unless it's muscle weight. That's totally fine.
