The seclusion provides guests with a private cove all to themselves, including a stretch of beach about a half-mile in length and a natural barrier to exit. There are plenty of options on site to keep you satisfied, though, including a spa, pool, three restaurants (international, Thai, and Japanese,) and a beach bar.
The location also results in another adventurous treat. Because there are no roads into or out of the resort, guests arrive via sea transfer. Those who want to go into town can make the short trip via an hourly boat shuttle offered complimentary by the Centara. It also arranges trips out to the barrier islands, such as Phi Phi, where the boat will pick you up at the Centara's dock.
If you plan to be in Southeast Asia this summer, the resort is holding a special between now and August 31st, starting at $116 per night including free Internet. Considering this type of accommodation and service would cost at least triple that in the Caribbean, it's a wonderful deal if you can pencil a Krabi retreat into your plans.
