· ROSEWOOD HOTELS TO HAVE 'FASTEST ELEVATORS' IN GUANGZHOU: Rosewood is keeping on with their expansion plans, having just announced a new property for Guangzhou, China which will take over the top 16 floors of the 1,738-foot Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre, along with the podium on top too. When it opens in 2017, the 251-room hotel will be a part of Guangzhou’s tallest building and is expected to install the "world's fastest high-speed elevators at 20 meters per second." That's about 65 feet per second. That in itself sounds pretty scary. But there's more! The bar atop the 107th floor is expected to be the highest bar in mainland China. Eeee.
