Hampton Inn Upgrades Their Clean & Fresh Beds (And The Post-It Notes Too)

April 28, 2014 at 4:29 PM | by | Comments (2)

Last month, we spotted a marketing initiative at work post-it note on the headboard at a Hampton Inn and Suites that read, "Duvet covers & sheets are clean for your arrival."

The note is all a part of Hampton Inn's plan to assure guests that while Hampton might not be a five-star luxury hotel, the beds (and arguably the most important thing in a hotel room) are clean. And now, Hampton is updating the comforting of the bedding too.

The Clean & Fresh Hampton Bed has new fluffy duvet inserts and covers with streamlined bottom corners. The beds will also have four pillows instead of three and at least one of those pillows will be the Down Dreams Soft pillow, reportedly a guest favorite.

The post-it notes are also getting switched up, although we aren't exactly sure what they will say. If you see them in the wild, let us know!

Meanwhile, Hampton's free breakfast is also getting some new options as well as a new name.

Previously called On The House, the complimentary breakfast offerings will go by the name,Breakfast Remix and will include locally sourced and inspired options. You'll still be able to get your beloved scrambled eggs, sausages, waffles and pancakes along with fresh fruits, biscuits and gravy, cereal, yogurt and oatmeal. But you'll also have turkey sausage, shelled hardboiled eggs, breakfast wraps with salsa and sliced fruit too. And remember, at Hampton Inn you'll also get free WiFi.

We also love how this particular Hampton decided to leave a post-it note of sorts on its bananas.

Cool

Hampton Inn is hands down one of the best hotel chains, and the best in the limited service category.

Not in Minnesota...

I would have to disagree with that statement, NCLeo.  I've stayed at 4 or 5 Hampton properties in and around the Mpls-St. Paul metro area and have ALWAYS been underwhelmed or disappointed.  Major service issues and unclean rooms are the common thread.  I've had much better luck with Comfort Inn / Comfort Suites and some of the select service Marriott properties.
