Increasing the pod’s footprint to 30 sq m (323 sq ft), the entrance and outdoor deck are shifted to the side. Two large wooden sliding doors open up, rather than the spherical windows before, but they are still incorporated in the design, as is the skylight that runs across the roof. Inside, you find a (day) bed, little sitting area, and full bathroom, with what looks like the possibility of an actual bathtub in the above rendering.
Aside from use as a hotel room, it’s not hard to imagine DROP being adapted as an event space, pop-up store, mobile restaurant, or something else creative. Check out further details, including a short video, here. Now will someone be bold and create DROP so we can stay the night?
