Take a look at Precinct Kitchen + Bar, slated to open by the end of the month. The lower-level restaurant will focus on New England cuisine and – by the sound of some sample menu items – a fare amount of seafood. Expect the 70-seat dining room to lay out a fishy spread that includes a grilled bronzino, seared scallops and a "Boston Clam Bake" of Wellfleet clams, PEI mussels, shrimp, corn, red potato and local kielbasa.
Though for a true clam bake experience, you might want to enjoy that last one outside, by the two fire pits on the sunken 36-seat patio. (That street side lounge component should open in late April.) And the 20-seat bar will boast a craft cocktail program with plenty of specialty drinks dubbed with local references: like the Harvard (cognac, vermouth and bitters), the Nor’Easter (bourbon, maple and ginger). All sounds promising. Just needs more prison puns. (Kidding. Probably.)
