The arrival courtyard looks pretty modern, with a waterfall feature on the right and the name and logo of Waldorf Astoria looking straight at you when you make your way inside.
Villas range from one bedroom to six bedrooms, with four poster beds and lots of woodwork. At least some of them will have private pools too, which from these architectural renderings look to be the infinity / overflow type.
The resort will have two restaurants and a "destination bar," a private beach with sea-facing pool, and a health club and spa. If the setting puts you in the mood for marriage, there will be a wedding chapel too.
2017 should see a double-entry into Indonesia for Waldorf Astoria, with a city hotel in capital Jakarta opening too, which will look something like the rendering below. Together with Bangkok the year before, that makes three in southeast Asia by then.
