A Little Zebra Print Never Hurts: First Look at Four Seasons Johannesburg
February 21, 2014 at 8:45 AM
Holy Zebra Wallpaper! Thatís all we can think when looking at this first shot of a guestroom at the Four Seasons Westcliff in Johannesburg, due to open this summer after a year worth of renovations.
Previously an Orient-Express hotel, where a Sunday afternoon at La Belle Terrasse is one of our all-time brunch favorites, we can expect a new spa, two new restaurants, and a new bar in addition to the redesign of all guestrooms and suites.
If this is a little too bold for your tastes, perhaps you prefer the more subtle way of incorporating the print in the window treatments as seen below, which also shows how different the color schemes and decoration between the various room types will be.
Whether itís the full-on zebra wallpaper or the deep, strong blue, we kind of love that Four Seasons is going a bit bolder with its design here. All 114 rooms and suites benefit from the hotelís setting as a collection of pink-washed buildings connected by cobblestone streets on a hillside overlooking the Johannesburg zoo. No doubt the rather pretty pool has been kept as well.
Reservations arenít open yet, but weíd guess rates will start at the very least at $300 and go up from there.
