It's cold, snowy and miserable, and Cinco de Mayo is just too far away. So what are NYC hotels to do to cheer us all up? Why, celebrate National Margarita Day, of course. (Yes, that really is a thing). It's officially tomorrow, but, we say, why not get started tonight?

Here's where and what to drink (and how to make your own):

Or .. make your own in your hotel room:

The Surrey's in-room mixology program allows guests to select their spirit -- vodka, gin, tequila, rum or bourbon -- and a personal bartender arrives to their room with an old fashioned bar cart with all the fixings needed for 4-5 perfect drinks. With the choice of tequila the bartender will shake up a Blackberry Mint Margarita with blackberries, mint, lime juice, simple syrup and Patrón Silver. Invite your friends, you have your very own bar in your room!
