Models, Parties, Blow Drys and Leather Corsets: Fashion Week Returns to These Hotels

January 31, 2014 at 10:32 AM | by | ()

Here we go again. Even though it seems like just a few months since the last one, (because it was) New York Fashion Week is upon us once again bringing the designers, the models, and the various hangers on to the Lincoln Center and peripheral party venues.

As always, hotels are getting in on the act. Here's what hotel-based activities to look out for:

One of the closest hotels to the Lincoln Center, Hotel Belleclaire will be the home of HairShow by Sam Villa, a pop-up blowout bar. The hair beauty brand will be offering complimentary blow outs Saturday, February 8 - Wednesday, February 12 so you, too can look (a bit) like a model. From February 10 - February 13 there will also be a pop-up shop from Stella & Dot, a jewelry and accessory store.

Further downtown, the W Union Square will be hosting Prabal Gurung’s afterparty at Lilium on February 5 -canceled- and Erin Fetherston’s presentation in The Great Room on February 6.

Over at the The Empire Hotel plans are underway for a Gatsby Fashion party: "a celebration of the 1920s on Fashion Week Friday," with live music by the New Orleans and Swamp Monkeys, and burlesque by Hazel Honeysuckle and Miss Kasie Marie.

The Bryant Park Hotel's Cellar Bar is hosting a Fashion Week soiree on February 8. You are promised to be able to "dance your night away with international models and celebrity designers to the best music and djs while enjoying the most eclectic cocktails in Manhattan served by our leather corset clad staff.
