Get into The Super Bowl Spirit with These Specially Created Cocktails

What's the Super Bowl without a few drinks? We're not talking a weak can of Bud, this year you can sip on a specially created Super Bowl themed cocktail from the following Manhattan hotels:

At JAZZ at KITANO at the Kitano New York house mixologist Pablo Villareal has created two special cocktails in honor of each of the teams:

Gridiron Margarita (Inspired by the Seahawks) $16. Pictured above.
2 oz. Don Julio Anejo Tequila
1/2 oz simple syrup
2 strawberries
1 red chili pepper
1 lime slice
Muddle strawberries, lime & chili with simple syrup. Add tequila and ice, shake. Serve in rocks glass on ice. Garnish with sliced strawberry and chili pepper.

Zone Blitz (For the Broncos) $16
2 oz Absolute Pepper Vodka
Top off with lemon lime soda
Splash of blue caracao for color
Orange garnish
Serve over crushed ice in a rocks glass.

Meanwhile, over at the W New York Times Square and the W New York Downtown, bar wizards have created a couple of boozy twists on tailgating classics, available in their Living Room bars, involving bacon, barbecue and jalapeno poppers:

Jalapeno Popper Margarita (above)
In a shaker, muddle:
3 pcs. muddled jalapeno (no seeds)
Add: 1 1/2 oz Casamigos Blanco Tequila
1/2 oz. Cointreau
˝ oz. simple syrup
1 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
Top with ice and shake, serve in rocks glass over ice and garnish with a jalapeno slice.

Barbecue Bloody Mary
1 1/2 oz. organic tomato vodka
4 1/2 oz house made infused spicy bloody mary mix
1/2 oz.organic BBQ sauce
Garnish with celery, lemon and olive

Peacock Alley at the Waldorf Astoria New York is offering two more Super Bowl inspired cocktails created by famed house mixologist Frank Caiafa

Chocolate Old Fashioned (In honor of the Broncos) $19
2.5 oz. Cocoa Nib infused Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey
1 Demerara sugar cube
2 Dashes of house-made aromatic bitters
1 Orange peel (about 3 inches)
Place orange peel and sugar cube to bottom of a mixing glass. Douse the sugar cube with bitters. Muddle. Add whiskey and stir for five seconds to incorporate.Strain into iced rocks glass.

Foghorn (For the Seahawks)$18
2 oz. Voyager Gin (Pacific Distillery, Washington State)
.50 oz. lime juice
3 oz. Fever Tree Ginger Beer
Add gin and lime juice to ice filled Highball glass.Stir briefly to incorporate. Add Ginger Beer. Garnish with lime wedge.

Finally, Ink48 is offering a Gridiron Classic with widow Jane rye whiskey, fresh basil, muddled lemon and simple syrup, priced at $17.

Meanwhile, in New Jersey, The Borgata has come up with the following:

Manning Margarita for the Broncos>
1 ounce tequila
1 ounce Cointreau
˝ ounce fresh squeezed lime juice
splash blue curacao
Pour tequila, Cointreau and lime juice in a shaker and fill with ice. Shake it up until ice cold. Pour into a chilled, salt rimmed martini glass. Drop in lime peel and finish with a splash of blue curacao.

For the Seahawks: Beast Mode
3 oz spiced rum
3 oz Coca-Cola
1 can pineapple-starfruit juice concentrate
1 can Berry punch
Add spiced rum and Coca-Cola to a collins glass. In a separate container, mix all of the pineapple starfruit concentrate and the berry punch together. Pour into the Collins glass until full, stir, and serve.
