Soon all of NYC will be Designed by Gene Kaufman

Here we go again. Try to contain your excitement as we bring details of two new Midtown NYC projects by "serial hotel architect," Gene Kaufman.

Both of the new hotels will be located in the increasingly hotel-ified Garment District. The first will be a 240-room, 22-story property on the site of what is now a parking lot at 326 West 37th Street, between Eighth and Ninth avenues (photo above). The second, within spitting distance at 333 West 38th Street, will rise 21 stories and have 79 rooms (h/t New York YIMBY.)

These are both just around the corner from another Kaufman project at 585 Eighth Avenue and just minutes from three more Kaufmans-in-development at 125 West 28th Street and 30 West 46th Street (both by Cambria Suites), and 125 West 28th Street. And that's just Midtown.

One New York hotel that will not be carrying the Kaufman's name however is The Bossert Hotel in Brooklyn. Word is that he was "replaced" over the holidays.
