The Pool Wing (above) will be reconfigured to contain only one- or two-bedroom suites, some of which will allow you to jump directly into the pool from your private terrace. Looks like the suites will have not a case of peekaboo bathrooms, but out and wide open bathrooms – we hope the designer went for a properly private toilet situation.
The Beach Wing is away from the main resort, and consists of a number of villas and the top-end “Beach House”, directly on the powdery sand the facing the blue sea.
Even further east, a small number of multi-bedroom private residences (introductory videos are here) are being built, which will offer all the services of the hotel (one would hope, being on a remote island). On the western edge, marina residences will be added close to where those coming by boat can dock.
All public spaces get an overhaul too, with new restaurants, the addition of a One&Only spa, and a new sports center with tennis courts and fitness facilities.
Opening offers for July give you 20% off, but will still set you back around AUS$550 ($486) for a Hayman Lagoon Room.
In addition to Australia, One&Only is planning to open in Sanya (China), Portonovi (Montenegro), and Jeddah (Saudi Arabia).
