Starting with the latest Ace news first, restaurant Hoi Polloi – the brainchild of Bistrotheque’s Pablo Flack and David Waddington – will arrive on October 3. Open all day, there’ll be 100 seats in the restaurant and another 50 in the bar, which share the same British produce-focused menu, but with the latter having a no-reservation policy. Aside from Hoi Polloi, there is an outpost of Square Mile Coffee Roasters and That Flower Shop downstairs.
Rooms come in four different categories: Standard, Deluxe, Superior Deluxe (with King or two Double beds), and Suite. All rooms have free WiFi as mentioned, Revo Radio with ‘Ace-curated radio stations’, and minibar that we have yet to fully explore.
From today until December 15, Ace Shoreditch is offering the ‘WELCOMEHOME’ rate to tempt you into checking in and checking things out: Monday through Thursday rooms start at £150 ($235), with weekends at an incredible £110 ($172). Including tax, that comes to £132 ($206) – outstanding value for a notoriously expensive city. These rates are non-refundable/non-changeable.
We paid £163 ($255) for our Standard room – stay tuned for the full breakdown of our night at Ace later this week.
