The Viceroy Riviera Maya Will Open New 'Signature' Villas in October
September 6, 2013 at 1:25 PM
The Viceroy Riviera Maya has always had an impressive selection of guest rooms, or rather, villas from the luxury villas to the ocean view villas all the way up to the presidential villa. But now they've added yet another room category--Signature Villas.
Each villa will have 1,400-sq.ft. of private outdoor living space featuring a sundeck, hammock, outdoor rain shower and heated plunge pool. Inside, the villas will have high-ceilings with a thatched palapa roof, king-sized beds, his and hers closets, satellite cable TV, free WiFi, Nespresso machines, air-conditioning and the new deep-soaking, ovate-shaped bathtubs that were introduced in 11 other villas in January 2012. The tubs were quite a hit with the guests--perhaps because there's a glass wall through which you can see out to the private garden--so in they went to the new Signature Villas.
The villas will also come with a variety of services from the pillow menu to the nightly turndown service, Mayordomo (butler) service and the resort's soap concierge.
These five Signature Villas were actually created from five of the original Luxury Villas. So the villa count at the property remains the same at 41.
The new Signature Villas will be available to book for stays on October 15th and beyond. Rates start at $905 per night (plus tax and service charge which can be over $250 a night.) However, we actually found rates on October 15 for just $588 a night (excluding taxes and fees of $170 a night) that also includes breakfast for two daily. Vámonos!
