The latest we've heard is that, although the public spaces will not be completed until October, the hotel started renting/booking rooms at the beginning of September. We're still looking at October for the official opening day.
In the meantime, we have some info on what to expect from Cafe Marlton, which will occupy the entire ground-floor.
The restaurant will have an open lay-out and serve healthy, international/French-influenced dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the 98-seat dining room, as well as the hotel lobby, bar and conservatory; blending the "decidedly local and organic menu sensibilities of Chez Panisse in Berkley with some of the everyday Parisian cafe design sensibilities of Cafe De Flore in Paris".
September rates for a Queen, Full, or Double Twin room are all a very reasonable $200.
