The iPads are intended to act as “virtual concierges," providing guests with up-to-date guides to hotel offers and activities while reducing the use of paper and the replacement of damaged binders, thus minimizing waste. So far the hotel guide is the iPads' only feature, but both hotels do have complimentary WiFi so you can surf on your Pads to your hearts' content.
We love the sustainable angle they are going for, but at this point Hotels with iPads really need to do a lot more to grab our attention while we are busy controlling room temperatures, lights, and shades with our devices.
We found Superior Room rates in September at the Carlton Tower starting at GBP323; and for GBP272 at the Lowndes.
